TIME TO REFRESH OUR FRESHLY BREWED PROJECTS – 2022

The Freshly Brewed Project Team are well rested and ready to start sharing our weekly projects with you. Our first theme for 2022 is all about Valentine’s Day which is next week. So we have created some ‘love’ly projects. Our projects may be Valentine’s Day specific … or could just be sharing/sending love.

Make sure you hop along and see wha the rest of the team has created:

Here is my project:

This week I am featuring the Daffodil Daydream Bundle and the FREE Sale-a-bration Daffodil Afternoon 12″x 12″ Designer Series Paper. So my card uses these products. I was so pleased when I discovered that one of the designs in the DSP pack was filled with small Pear Pizzazz hearts on Very Vanilla paper – PERFECT!

I stamped, coloured and die cut the daffodil images. The two cut flowers were glued together and then popped up on the front of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The Valentine’s Day greeting was stamped and then trimmed down to a thin strip. This was then added to a panel cut from one of the Hippo & Freinds Dies. It was also embossed using the splatters from the Stripes & Splatters 3D Embossing Folder Set. Dimensionals were used to lift the sentiment and the panel.

The greeting and hearts are from the Sweet Conversations Stamp Set. The hearts were cut using the Sweet Hearts Dies. The hearts were added to the card at three different levels.

Extra hearts were added to the envelope and inside the card.

I must say a big thank you, if you have looked at all my posts today. Today is my blog hop/challenge day – some weeks there will be two posts and sometimes, three. Wednesdays will be busy.

Tomorrow is 3D Thursday and I’m looking forward to sharing another 3D project with you.

Until then, happy stamping.

WELCOME TO WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY

Each Wednesday I will share a card that I make for the Global Design Project challenge. This week’s challenge is #GDP327 and it is a theme challenge.

Now one of the interesting things about taking part in the weekly challenges is that I will still be using the same products that I am featuring each week.

I had to think about how I would create a Love – Valentine’s Card using the products from the Rainbow of Happiness Bundle and Sunshine & Rainbows 6″x 6″ Designer Series Paper.

So, what do you think?

For this card I used a Misty Moonlight cardbase and added an embossed layer. I used the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder.

Using coloured cardstock, that coordinates with the DSP, I cut the rainbow arches tag from the Brilliant Rainbow Dies set.

After choosing the DSP for the hearts, I used the heart die from the Sweet Hearts Dies. I adhered the hearts to the tags and then attached them to the card front.

After attaching some Adhesive Sheets to the back of a strip of Magenta Madness cardstock I used the Playful Alphabet Dies. The love theme was successfully achieved by my declaration of love on the card front.

To finish the card front I die cut three small hearts from the Sweet Hearts Dies and secured them in place with Multipurpose Glue.

On the card insert and envelope I stamped the Valentine’s Day greeting from the Sweet Conversations Stamp Set. I also added some more die cut hearts.

After cutting an extra tag, from the Brilliant Rainbow Dies, I stamped another of the sentiments from the Sweet Conversation Stamp Set.

By using a couple of extra products I was able to ensure that a card, featuring this week’s sunshine and rainbows products, could be made a love and Valentine’s card.

Tomorrow is Thursday and 3D project day. I have a great triangle gift box to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping.

FUN FOLD FRIDAY

The heading says it all – each Friday, I will share a ‘new’ Fun Fold card. I have been compiling a list of as many card folds as I can and there are lots of them. Some of themI haven’t made before.

Today’s card is a Double Dutch Card and it is the first time I have made one. I looked at several templates and then created my own set of measurements to make sure that my card would fit well in a C6 envelope.

When the card goes into the envelope it measures 5-3/4″x 4-1/4″ or 14.7cm x 10.7cm.

I started with a piece of 12″x 12″ Real Red cardstock. Here is a diagram to illustrate how to cut and score the cardstock.

After cutting and burnishing the card base, I cut the Basic White layers and Designer Series Paper layers.

Before attaching the main panel, I tied a bow and wrapped a length of Real Red Faux Linen Ribbon around it. I used Tear & Tape to secure the ribbon in place.

The sentiment was stamped using Real Red ink and was cut into a thin strip. I used a number of Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop the greeting up.

I added a strip of DSP to the card insert and added a second sentiment to the inside of the card.

The finishing touch for this card was to add some Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

The card looks great opened out fully.

It has been a fun week making projects using the Sweet Talk Product Suite.

I wonder which new products I will use for next week’s projects?

Until then, happy stamping.
