FRIDAY IS FABULOUS & ALL ABOUT THE FUNFOLD CARD

Today’s funfold card was inspired by Connie Stewart from SimplySimpleStamping. Thank you so much Connie for your inspiration.

Connie calls this a Diagonal Double Pocket Card.

I started with a Real Red Two-tone 12″x 12″ sheet of card and used Connie’s measurements. At some stage, over this weekend, I plan to convert it to ‘Australian’ measurments.

The card has two staggered pockets that are trimmed with Mossy Meadow card.

Each pocket has a card insert – the front card is a portrait tent-fold card and the back card is a single piece of Secret Sea with a panel of Basic White card.

The card front was embellished with several layers of the greeting ‘joy’ and gold sequins from the Traditional Sparkling Sequins.

The front card has been designed to hold a gift card, perfect for a combined Christmas card and gift.

For the card insert, I added a layered panel of Secret Sea and Basic White. I also added one of the Christmas greetings from the Greetings For You Mix & Match Ephemera Pack.

I think that I will take a break form Christmas next week and find something else wonderful to use in my projects.

Until then, happy stamping and scrapbooking.

FRIDAY IS MY FUN FOLD PROJECT DAY!

This card is my interpretation of a creative challenge from one of the groups that I am part of. This is the source ofinspiration for the challenge: https://bit.ly/4lUJJtg

For my card, I have continued to use the Harvest Home Garland Kit.

I needed to create a ‘door’ that, when opened, would pull out and reveal other elements.

For this, I chose the Everyday Arches Dies to create a top opening door in a landscape card.

Using a Cajun Craze base with a panel of paper from the Woven Textures 12″x 12″ Desiger Series Paper, I used one of the Everyday Arches Dies to cut out the opening.

I cut this shape out a few more times to create a hinged ‘door’.

A length of Linen Thread was wrapped several times across the top of the card before being tid in a bow.

To decorate the front of the ‘door’, I added a Very Vanillla leaf from the kit and embossed a lighter Cajun Craze leaf with the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder. After these were added to the ‘door’ front, I added half an acorn.

I took a 1/2′ strip of card, folded it back 1/2″ and adhered it to the back of the ‘door’. Then I adhered two more leaves to it.

When the card is closed and the ‘door’ opened, the two extra leaves are pulled up.

The card has a panel of Very Vanilla card adhered inside.

The greeting, from the Beautiful Motifs Stamp Set, was stamped using Cajun craze ink and hen cut using the smallest of the Everyday Arches Dies. I attached it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Then I added some of the new Cajun Craze & Gold Dots to the card, both on the front and inside.

I love the way the leaves look after they are embossed.

Woohoo – I am so happy with the projects I have made this week using the Harvest Home Garland Kit.

WHICH ONE DO YOU LIKE THE BEST? WHICH ONE WOUD YOU MAKE?

Please reach out and let me know.

Next week I will another collection of projects to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping and scrapbooking.

FINALLY IT’S FRIDAY AND TIME FOR A FUN FOLD CARD OR TWO

Today I have two cards that were inspired by one of Dawn Olchefske’s fun fold cards that I recently came across.

The fun fold is a HORIZONTAL GATE FOLD CARD.

Both cards feature the Floral Charm Suite Collection.

The Pretty Peacock card base had panels of the coordinating DSP adhered to each side.

Then two horizontal Blackberry Bliss panels were added – one on each side. These panels then had coordinating DSP added to them.

To hold the horizontal panels in place I stamped, coloured and die cut the large floral image from the Charming Day Bundle.

I looped three lengths of silver ribbon, from the Gold & Silver Trim pack, and secured them to the back of the floral shape.

The floral image was secured to the bottom horizontal panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the birthday greeting to a piece of Basic White card and used dimensionals to attach it to the top horizontal panel.

The greeting panel locks in behind the floral die cut.

The smaller floral image was stamped on the card insert and the back of the envelope.

The second card is a variation of the first one.

This one has an opening belly band instead of the horizontal flaps.

I wrapped a 1 1/2″ piece of Night of Navy card around the card and burnished the edges.

Using the Encircle with Love Stamp Set I stamped the greeting and used the 1 3/4″ Circle Punch to cut it. Then I used the 1 7/8″ Circle Punch to cut out a Night of Navy circle.

A small Velcro circle was added to the belly band to enable the band to be opened and closed.

The card insert and envelope each had more of the same DSP added to finish them.

Some gems from the Purple Fine Shimmer Gems were added to the front of the card.

Next week I will have some more projects to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping and scrapbooking.
