A TRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS CARD TODAY

The Freshly Brewed Projects Blog Hop theme this week is Traditional Christmas. So we will share projects for Christmas using traditional colours.

For my project I opted for Cherry Cobbler, Evening Evergreen and gold.

I used a few different products from the July – December Mini Catalogue – Holly Jolly Stamp Set, Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder, Painted Christmas 12″x 12″ Designer Series Paper, Gold Holly Leaves, Gold Shimmer Vellum and the Cherry Cobbler & Gold Metallic Ribbon. I also used some of the Evening Evergreen Cotton Paper from the Eden’s Garden Early Release Collection.

The piece of Designer Series Paper was embossed and cut using the Hybrid Embossing Folder and coordinating detailed die. I also cut two outline pieces using the Gold Shimmer Vellum and Evening Evergreen Cotton Paper. These three pieces were layered and then secured on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I gathered up three lengths of the Cherry Cobbler and Gold Metallic Ribbon and created the three ribbon wreaths that I tucked in under the paper layers. The wreaths were secured using Mini Glue Dots.

The Christmas greeting is from the Holly Jolly Stamp Set and was stamped using Cherry Cobbler. The stitched rectangle, from the Hybrid Embossing Folder bundle, was used to cut the greeting.

I took several of the Gold Holly Leaves and placed them over some of the embossed and die cut leaves. One was also added to the envelope and inside the card.

The final step was to add some of the Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the card front and inside the card.

Don’t forget to hop arond and see what the rest of the Freshly Brewed crew have created to share with you.

Have you started making your Christmas cards yet? Are you a traditional or more contempory Christmas card maker?

Unti lnext time, happy stamping.

TIME FOR A SNEAK PEEK

Hello and welcome. Thanks for popping by for today’s blog hop.

It is Wednesday afternoon and that means it’s time for a Freshly Brewed Project Blog Hop.

This week’s theme is It’s a(nother) Sale-a-bration! So it’s time to share some of the fantastic FREEBIES from the Sale-a-bration Brochure. You only have August and September to place your qualifying orders – for each $90 you spend you can choose one of 9 different new products (or you can choose the one product that needs a $180 order).

I decided to use the Penguin Playmates 12″x 12″ Designer Series Paper. It coordinates with the Penguin Place Bundle from the Annual Catalogue.

I used a Misty Moonlight card base and stamped the stars and spots image on areas of the card front. Then I cut three 1-1/2″ strips of the DSP. One side of the paper has different penguin, fox and polar bear designs and the other side has coordinating geometric designs. I used the Triple Banner Punch to cut a banner end on two of the strips. These were then positioned evenly on the card front.

Then I fussy cut some of the cute pengions from the DSP and popped them across the card front. And, they look like they’re having fun.

The greeting is from the Penguin Place Stamp Set and it was cut using the long, thin stitched rectangle die from the Suit & Tie Dies set. I stamped the balloon and streamer in Just Jade on the card insert and envelope. LAst, but not least, I added some of the 2020 – 2022 In Colour Square Gems.

I can’t believe that I forgot to place the Penguin Place Stamp Set in the photo of the products I used.

I can’t wait to see what the other Freshly Brewed Project team members share. Make sure that you swing by and see what Sale-a-bration products they have used and what they have made.

What do you think of these projects? Which Sale-a-bration product will be on your wishlist?

UNtil tomorrow, happy stamping.

Because some of the products I have used to make this card are not yet available to customers, I am not able to show them at this time. As soon as product images go live, I will create this section.

A SENTIMENTAL ROSE

Hello and welcome to today’s post. Thanks for popping by.

My project is a second card inspired by the Sentimental Rose Card Kit.

Today’s card is based on the ‘thank you’ card in the top right hand corner of the image above.

This card also let’s me show a way to use Embossing Folders for this week’s Freshly Brewed Projects Blog Hop.

I started by recreating the soft, watercolour wash using Flirty Flamingo, So Saffron and Soft Succulent. Then I used the new Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder to add texture to a piece of Shimmery White cardstock. The next step was to flick the brush end of the same colour Stampin’ Blends to achieve some great splatter effect.

After the embossed layer was attached to the card front, I stamped the rose image three times – without reinking it. When the three floral layers were cut, scrunched and glued together it was attached to a Square Vellum Doily and popped up on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I cut a length of Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon, cut it in half and tied a double bow, using some Silver Simply Elegant Trim to secure it. A Mini Glue Dot was used to attach it to the card front. The birthday greeting was stamped in Soft Succulent and was cut using one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies.

The finaI step was to stamp the rose on the card insert and envelope.

Make sure you pop on over to see what the other Freshly Brewed Projects team has created to share with you:

Now I have another very pretty birthday card to add to the birthday box. Who would you give this card to?

Happy stamping.
