THURSDAY IS ALL ABOUT THE 3D PROJECT

For today’s 3D project I wanted to create a triangular gift box.

Each of the sides measures 3 3/4″x 3 3/4″. The base and lid triangles are 3 1/4″ with half inch flaps on each side.

A small note about two-tone card – when it is cut you can see the white core.

I cut three of the outline arched shaped from another of the DSP designs.

Using a paper piercing tool, I made two small holes to thread some white baker’s twine through so that I could secure the lid.

I cut a slightly smaller triangle for the lid and stamped the greeting and decoration.

The 2025-2027 In Colour Flat Pearls were popped on top of the small sunburst.

I’m not sure what I will pop inside the box yet but it will be tasty!

Tomorrow I have three more cards to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping and scrapbooking.

TIME FOR SOME WEDNESDAY UPDATES & A CARD WITH RUFFLES.

The first update is to remind you that the Virtual Album Retreat is happening from 17-19 July.

All you need to do, to join in, is order the Retreat Kit.

In early July you will receive an email from Stampin’ Up! with details about how to join the exclusive Facebook group where the three days of live event will be streamed.

After the event you can access the recorded event videos on the Virtual Album Retreat Facebook group page.

If you order your kit through me, you will be invited to an exclusive event that I will be hosting in Brisbane. This event will give you the opportunity to meet fellow paper crafters, finish your layouts and have some fun.

Today’s card uses a Petal Pink card base and a piece of the Boho Vibes DSP.

To create the ruffle feature, I cut four lengths of the Mossy Meadow DSP and used an uneven fan fold technique. I turned the ruffle over and applied small amounts of Multipurpose Glue to secure the folds in place.

The ruffle was then glued to the Basic White and DSP panel. Then I wrapped a length of Petal Pink Scalloped Ribbon around the ruffle.

This panelmwas then adhered to the card base.

The greeting was stampe, three times, in Mossy Meadow and then cut using one of the Stylish Shapes Dies.

Each of the greetings were then added to the card front using the dimensionals.

The card insert and back of the envelope were then finished with DSP.

Finally I added some Mossy Meadow Muted Palette Dots.

Tomorrow is my 3D day so I have a triangular gift box to share with you.

Untilthen, happy stamping and scrapbooking.

TIPS & TECHNIQUES TUESDAY

Today I have three Father’s Day cards that I have made. In Australia, Father’s Day is celebrated on the first Saturday in September.

I am featuring the Playful Alphabet Dies and Boho Vibes, as well as the Sunrise Sailing Dies.

The first card is a super simple one to make.

I used Night of Navy for the card base to allow the Secret Sea ‘spots’ on the DSP to pop.

The Cloud Cover and DSP panels have been adhered to the card base at angles to create some interest.

The greetings were stamped on pieces of Cloud Cover card and trimmed to fit the card front. Then I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of each piece and then positioned on the card.

Then I cut the sailing boat and sails to decorate the card.

Finally I added some Cloud Cover embellishments from the 2025 – 2027 Flat Pearls pack.

The second card is very similar.

The only difference between the first and second card is the addition of a length Faux Linen Ribbon.

The third card uses the ECLIPSE technique.

TIP: Position the alphabet dies on the card and hold in place using a small piece of washi tape.

I used dimensionals to lift the die cut card up from the card base and DSP.

TIP: Position the letter dies over the cut spaces and use this to guide the place you infill the letter.

This card also has a greeting, boat and flat pearls.

Tomorrow I have a ruffled card for you.

Until then, happy stamping and scrapbooking.
