THURSDAY IS ALL ABOUT SHARING 3D PROJECTS

The Designer Series Paper in the Floral Charm Suite Collection is perfect for creating gorgeous gift bags.

I used 2 sheets of the DSP to make the bag.

The top of the bag was scored at 1 1/2″. The other three sides were scored at 3″.

After burnishing all the scored lines the bag was ready for construction. I started by turning the top down to create a contrasting rim.

After trimming the corners and folding in the scored sides I was able to fit the two bag pieces inside each other and adhere the bag together.

Once the adhesive was dry I pinched the sides of the bag together. Then I punched holes in the top edge of the bag.

I took a long length of the Petal Pink Braided Trim and coloured it to coordinate with the Berry Burst colour in the DSP.

The trim was then threaded through the holes and tied off.

I used the Paper Tags Bundle to make the tag for this bag. The greeting was stamped in Berry Burst and die cut. The heart at the top of the tag made it easy to slide over the trim. I stapled the top of the tag closed.

Now I need to find something that is all about “sunshine & laughter” to fill the bag.

Tomorrow I have a fun fold card to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping and scrapbooking.

If you like the look of either of these kits, head over to my online store and place your order.

Today I have another project to share woth you.

I chose another one of the designs from the Floral Charm Designer Series Paper pack and add to the Old Olive card base.

Before securing the DSP, I cut two lengths of the new Petal Pink Braided Trim and wrapped them around and secured them to the DSP with Tear and Tape.

I used the leaves die, from the Lifetime of Love Dies, to cut several Old Olive branches. The branches, with Adhesive Sheet on the back, were then added to the card front and tucked under the braided trim.

I used one of the Encircled with Love stamps for the greeting. It was stamped in Secret Sea before I punched it out with the 1 3/4″ Circle Punch.

Then I punched a 1 7/8″ circle. The white circle was added to the Old Olive circle using dimensionals.

The circles were then positioned over the braided trim, again using dimensionals.

I took another length of the braided trim and pulled it apart. Taking three sets of three strands of the twine and tied three bows. These were then placed on the card front using Mini Glue Dots.

The card insert and envelope were finished using some of the same DSP.

Finally, I added some Secret Sea Flat Pearls for a little hit of bling.

Tomorrow is Thursday and that means that it is time for a 3D project.

Until then, happy stamping and scrapbooking.

TUESDAY IS TIME FOR A TIPS & TECHNIQUE PROJECT

Today I want to share a custom 6″x 6″ birthday card and envelope.

It is made up of a number of layers, each featuring a different technique.

The Old Olive card base had a Floral Charm DSP panel adhered to it.

The next three layers have been die cut, dry embossed and Blends coloured embellishments.

The Basic White panel was die cut, using one of the Beautiful Motif Dies, in opposite corners to create a ‘holder’ for the dry embossed panel.

TIP: Take your time to position the dies so that you can achieve even outer borders.

TIP: When adhering the white panel to the card base pop a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional under the cut area to help lift it up.

Then I took a panel of Rich Razzleberry card and embossed it with the Damask Designs Emobossing Folder.

TIP: You can give the card a light water spritz to help enhance the embossed texture.

After adding some Stampin’ Dimensionals behind the emvossed card, I positioned the panel on the card front ensuring it was ‘held’ in place with the die cut holders.

For the final layer, I took a panel of Basic White card and stamped the greeting.

TIP: If you don’t have the embellishments in the colour you want, you can use a Stampin’ Blends pen. The Blends pens are alcohol base and are perfect to customise embellishments to coordinate with your project.

TIP: As I have shared before, applying the ‘rule of 3’ is a great guide for aesthetically pleasing design.

Then I needed to create a custom envelope for the card.

I used the same DSP to finish the card insert and envelope.

Tomorrow I have another card to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping and scrapbooking.
