IT’S THURSDAY & TIME FOR A 3D PROJECT

The gift boxes I want to share with you have no connection to the On Display projects I have already shared this week.

Instead, I have used the Party Banners Dies and the soon to be released Whipsers of Texture Specialty Paper.

I used three different sie sizes to create the 3 different box sizes.

Counting the dies from the largest to smallest, I used 6, 9 and 11.

For each box I cut 4 banners and then scored them – from the narrow, straight edge the score measurememnts were:

smallest box is scored at 2 1/4″ and 3 5/8″;

medium box is scored at 2 7/8″ and 4 3/4″; and

large box is scored at 3 1/2″ and 5 3/4″.

After scoring the banners, I used a bone folder to achieve a crisp fold line.

I used Stampin’ Seal+ to securely adhere the base and sides of the box base.

The banner ends were then folded in to create the closure at the top.

I used a length of Shaded Spruce & Soft Sea Foam Bordered Ribbon to present the boxes as a set.

Tomorrow I have one final card to share with you. It is not a fun fold card but a little more intricate than usual.

MONDAY MEANS THAT IT IS TIME FOR SOME MEMORY KEEPING

This week I am going for GOLD!

Each post will feature a project using Basic Black and Gold.

The double scrapbooming layout I have created is titled ‘ALL THAT GLITTERS’ and has five 3″x 3″ photograph spaces and a journalling panel that sit on one the Playful Banners Dies. I cut them from Gold Foil Speciality Paper.

Most of this week’s projects also use the Metallic Textures Rub-ons that you can find on p.124 of the Annual Catalogue (165270 $24).

I started by adding the diagonal gold rub-on design to the black 12″x 12″ base.

Then I added the gold foil banners. Each banner had black Stampin’ Dimensionals popped on the back to ensure they were lifted up from the page.

After adding Adhesive Sheets to the back of some more gold foil, I cut the letters for the title using the Mini Alphabet Dies.

I use a quilting ruler to help me position the letters.

To finish this page I die cut flowers from the Delightful Wishes Dies to add to the page.

For the second page, I also started by adding the Metallic Textures Rub-ons elements.

Then I added three gold banners across the page. Two are for photographs with the last one for journalling.

The journalling page was created using the Just a Note stamp set and dies. It was added to the banner using dimensionals. I also die cut a gold foil clip to add to the note page.

Finally, I added lots of small flowers from the Delightful Wishes Dies.

The Metallic Textures Rub-ons could so easily be missed if you are not being vigilant when you cruise through the current Annual Catalogue.

Tomorrow I have a project featuring both DRY & HEAT EMBOSSING TECHNIQUES.

Until then, happy stamping and scrapbooking.

NO FUN FOLD CARD THIS FRIDAY

Although my Fridays are normally spent sharing Fun Fold cards, today I have the last eight cards that I made for my card gift box.

First let me share four birthday cards with you.

I have used the uneven number rule for all of these birthday cards.

I’m keeping the bicycle birthday card to give to my brother later this month – he’s turning 55!

The last four cards that are going into the gift box are Christmas cards.

The Christmas puddings are so cute!

Real Red is always a great colour for Christmas projects.

The holly wreath was created after colouring 7 sprigs and then placing them on a 1 7/8″ circle. The new circle punch is a great addition to the collection.

The background, for the baubles card, was made by adhering many of the snowflake shapes to the white card base. Then the Misty Moonlight banner was added using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used the Hole Punch Assortment (165409) to punch the small hole in the three baubles. This allowed me to thread some white twine through them to create this look.

And, there you have it – a thank you gift box filled with cards for most occasions.

This week has been so much fun. It is so quick and easy to create lots and lots of cards when you use the Ephemera Packs,

I hope that you add some to your crafting stash.

Next week I will have something new to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping and scrapbooking.
