SHADOW GIFT BOXES

Today I have two shadow gift boxes to share with you.

I love doing the maths and pattern making for these boxes. They result in an elegant way to present a gift to someone special.

Both boxes feature the Velvet Meadow Speciality Designer Series Paper.

The first one is a square box measuring 4″ across by 1/2″ deep.

The internal space will hold a 3″x 3″ item.

The DSP I chose has Basic White, Cloud Cover and Peaceful Pine as well as white flocking florals.

I used Cloud Cover for the box and the base of the slide on cover.

I stamped the greeting using the new Basic Black Hybrid Ink onto Cloud Cover card. Then I cut it out using the 3 Banner Punch.

After adding Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the punched greeting Iadded it to the top of the box.

To ensire the shadow box slides easily out from the lid I wrapped a length of Cloud Cover Faux Linen Ribbon around it and tied a bow.

Finally I added some of the white Dreamy Flowers to the top of the box cover.

The second shadow gift box is longer and thinner – 5″x 1 7/8″x 1 1/2″.

I made two of these boxes and used different DSP and ribbon to style them. Each box holds a different body care product.

Both greetings are from the Flowering Meadow Stamp Set and as you can see I have used the 3 Banner Punch again.

The box bases have been made with THick Basic White A4 card and Berry Burst A4 card.

When I make 3D projects I enjoy taking the time to carefully measure and plan out how best to cut DSP so that patternswrap around the box and align.

I chose two different ways to use the ribbons – the Peaceful Pine was wrapped around the outside of the box and tied in a bow at the top and the Bubble Bath ribbon was tied around the box insert and tied in a bow at the top.

Each box was decorated differently, as you can see.
