FEELING A LITTLE LESS THAN TROPICAL

We are definitely starting to enjoy Autumn weather, as it gets cooler each day and night.

But that doesn’t mean that I can’t make tropically inspired projects.

I decided to use some products from the TROPICAL OASIS SUITE while it is still available. This suite is featured in the January to June Mini Catalogue and should be available until June 2.

The TROPICAL OASIS MEMORIES & MORE CARD PACK is perfect for memory keeping/scrap booking and card making.

There are 50 cards and 4 sticker sheets. The cards are 3″x 4″ and 4″x 6″ – perfect for quick and easy card fronts!

TROPICAL OASIS MEMORIES & MORE CARD PACK

I teamed this pack with the ASSORTED MEMORIES & MORE CARDS & ENVELOPES because they are designed just for this purpose – they make a perfectly sized card base for each of the card fronts.

I wanted to put together a project class for a beginner stamper … a friend I am visiting soon … while exercising appropriate social distancing rules, of course.

I will provide the adhesives, inkpads, embellishments, coordinating stamp set and blocks – so that we can make these cards.

These are super easy cards that I am sure she will love to make.

I think you will be able to see the elements that have been used for each card. I will list them all below.

I’m looking forward to making these cards with my friend and I am sure she will be so pleased with how they turn out.

If you are a beginner stamper, what sorts of cards would you like to make?

Thanks for popping by … happy stamping.

These are the products I used to make these cards. If you live in Australia, you can order any of these products through me – just click on the SHOP NOW or any individual product below.

THE BEACH BOYS

When I saw the sheet of TROPICAL OASIS DESIGNER SERIES PAPER with the beach cars, it cried the BEACH BOYS to me.

These are two of the cars that are closest to those on the DSP that I could find – and Beach Boys’ music is playing in head.

The cars were all about the wood panelling and being long enough to stow a long board on the roof racks.

For this project, I thought about my daughters and their surfing classes and experiences – so, I went for Flirty Flamingo!

I used a STITCHED RECTANGLE DIES to cut three of the cars from the DSP, featuring the car with pink colours in the centre.

Some Flirty Flamingo, Pretty Peacock and Early Espresso card stock combine for the main colours of this card.

The palm trees were stamped in Saddle Brown Staz On for the die cut and water coloured card front feature, and for the envelope.

Who feels like heading to the beach? What is your all-time favourite Beach Boys song?

Thanks for dropping by, hanging ten … happy stamping.

FRESHLY BREWED PROJECTS BLOG HOP – SHARE SUNSHINE

Image may contain: text

If you live in Queensland, you know that the Big Pineapple is an iconic tourist attraction and pineapple plantation on the Sunshine Coast.

So for this project I decided that I would crack out the TROPICAL OASIS SUITE, especially the pineapple dies in the IN THE TROPICS DIES.

This is a great time to #sharesunshine with your friends and family … and smile at the people you pass as you walk or those who serve you at the supermarket or chemist or service station.

My project is a 3D gift box holding a small cellophane bag of fruit salad confectionery. I did try find a bag of Allen’s Pineapple, which would have been perfect, but there were none to found in Woolworths.

I used the FLUID 100 WATER COLOUR PAPER to colour the paper I used for the base and leaves of the pineapple.

This little box of tropical sweetness, with its simple sentiment, will be great to #sharesunshine with someone who has been thoughtful.

How many people are on your list to #sharesunshine with?

Thanks for popping by … happy stamping.
