WAYS WITH PUNCHES

Hello and welcome to another Wednesday Freshly Brewed Projects Blog Hop. Thank you for joining me, and the other wonderful Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators taking part.

Our theme today is WAYS WITH PUNCHES. I decided to use the TREASURED MEDALLIONS BUNDLE for this project.

TREASURED MEDALLION BUNDLE

This is a two-for-one opportunity … two events, one card. I am also using this project for the #CI94 COLOUR INKSPIRATION CHALLENGE.

Stampin’ Up!® have done such a great job by adding another ‘Pick a Punch’ – Lovely Labels, and now, TREASURED TAGS PICK A PUNCH.

I used my Stamparatus to evenly space the image across the piece of Basic White card stock. Then the four colours, from the challenge, were cut into decreasing sizes of card stock to be used as layered mats.

Both punch shapes remind me of domes. I chose the one with the ‘spire’ to punch 1″ strips of card that I attached behind the mat layers and aligned to the stamped images.

Finally, I coloured some more Pearl Basic Jewels to coordinate. Just a touch of bling.

Who are the ‘treasures’ in your life? Who would you send this card to?

Don’t forget to hop along to see the other projects:

DESIGNER SERIES PAPER STRIPS

Hello to those of you who have popped by today to see my latest project. I hope you like what you see.

For this card I cut 1″ strips of FLOWERING CACTUS DSP and then used the new TREASURED TAGS PICK A PUNCH.

TREASURED TAGS PICK A PUNCH

The range of PICK A PUNCH punches are so versatile and this one is no different. You can choose from two banner end shapes and three different widths. That gives you 6 different options.

The Pear Pizzazz panel was given this texture by using the TASTEFUL TEXTILE3D EMBOSSING FOLDER.

The punched strips of DSP were then glued onto the embossed card stock at various heights and angles.

The cactus and flower were fussy cut from a piece of the DSP.

I used the TREASURED TAGS PUNCH again for the sentiment, which I think is such a wonderful thing to say to someone.

If I make this card a second time, I think that I would skip the embossing and use dimensionals on some of the DSP strips to lift them off the card front. What do you think? What else would you suggest?

Happy stamping.

A RARE FIND

It is lovely to share another post with each of you. Hello and thank you for popping by.

This is the last card, in the collection of 7 cards and 1 gift box, that I made in one day of very productive and satisfying crafting.

There is a lovely greeting in the FLOWERING CACTUS PRODUCT MEDLEY – ‘You are a rare find my dear friend’. Isn’t it such a wonderful way to let a friend know what they mean to you?

I used the TREASURED TAGS PICK A PUNCH for the sentiment tag.

This is the first card that I used this piece of DSP on. The cactii and flowers are more compact than on some of the other DSP designs. I think the scale is ideal for a more intimate type of card.

And, of course, this is another uncomplicated card design. I like it when the products that I am using are doing all the work.

A fussy cut cactus sits on top of a coordination die cut cactus shape – the white border helps the cactus pop.

The strip of DSP has the linen thread wrapped and tied around it. It is also popped up on dimensionals for height.

Then I coloured and placed 9 small PEARL BASIC JEWELS in three areas (three each in three colours).

I know it is time to give the cactii and succulents a rest but I will definitely return. I have photos from Singapore’s Gardens by the Bay, that we visited in Novembet 2019. We were overwhelmed by the stunning array of plants displayed. One area featured cactii and succulents, so I think I know what I can use to do some Memory Keeping – stay tuned.

Happy stamping.
