Now, let me share some more cards from this week’s project featuring the Ephemera Packs.

I’m sure that you remember the rule of three I mentioned on Tuesday – it’s back again today.

I realise that it might seem a little weird to share Easter and halloween cards in the same image but I wanted to show the striped and spotted embossed cards from the Mix & Match Specialty Cards & Envelopes Pack more effectively.

Sometimes you need to have a card for the ‘not so happy’ times in our lives. Sending a ‘get well’ message or condolence message is usually our least go to card. By including these cards in a ‘year ’round’ card box will help someone be ready when they may not want to be.

For these cards, I have used the PArty Banners Dies again. I really like the way the die cut banners fit onto a card front so elegantly.

Moving from these emotions, let’s add a little love.

I have used the Party Banner Dies again to help create these lovely Real Red Valentine’s cards. Strawberries and hearts are the perfect precut images to add to the front of these cards.

Tomorrow is Thursday and that means it is time to share a 3D project – so, I will show you the gift box that I created to hold all of these cards.

TUESDAY IS TIME FOR SOME TIPS & TECHNIQUES

This week I am sharing a host of cards that I have made using the products below.

The Ephemera Packs are an amazing collection of printed and precut images and greetings that you can use to create lots of projects with minimal effort. That doesn’t mean that they will lack creativity because you are only limited by your own imagination. The possibilities really are unlimited.cards & Envelopes.

I have paired the ephemera elements with the Embossed Designs Mix & Match Specialty Cards & Envelopes as well as the Textured Stripes Mix & Match.

My plan for this week is to make a large gift box that will holds lots of cards. This box will be given to someone special as a thank you for something they have done. Inside the box will be avariety of cards for many and varied occasions throughout the year.

TECHNIQUE: The “Rule of Three” is a principle that suggests that things presented in groups of three are more memorable, effective, and satisfying than other numbers. 

I have used the rule of three in the following image – three cards and each card has an element repeated three times.

These cards are each comprised of precut images from the ephemera packs and are adhered to the front of cards from the Cards & Envelopes Packs. I used multipurpose glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere them to the card fronts.

For all 25 cards this week, I opened two each of the the three ephemera packs and I have so many images left to make equally as many more cards. An ephemera pack does go a long way!

The ‘sending hugs’ card also introduces the Party Banners Dies that I am using this week.

I know that I used most of the heart cups for the ‘thinking of you’ card but I love the way they look stacked inside each other – the rule of three became five (anything under ten that is an unvene number works pretty well with this principle).

TIP: I took one of the Real Red Textured Stripes cards and cut it down to create two card front layers. This a great way to stretch this unique design to create more cards.

The vase, in the ‘sending sunshine’ card does not have daisies as the flower. However, I decided to use the precut daisies to create a fuller looking bunch of flowers with the help of the Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I also used the Party Banner Dies for this card and added the yellow banner strips and yellow hearts to reinforce the idea of sunshine.

Each envelope has an ephemera image attached to coordinate with the card.

The ephemera packs also include great images that are perfect to use for Father’s Day cards.

Now, moving on to Mother’s Days cards.

Again, there are many image options for you to choose from for your card for your mum.

MONDAY IS FOR MEMORY KEEPING

In a little over two weeks MDH (my darling husband) and I will celebrate our 40th anniversary!

When I was planning this double page layout, I had in the back of my mind that I would dig out a load of photos from across the years to add to these pages.

This week I am featuring three Mix & Match Ephemera packs – Good Times, Time for Celebration and Greetings for All.

I also decided to feature the new Party Banners Dies (165264) – my new favourite die collection.

For the first page of the layout I added three White Willow Banners to the 12″x 12″ Two-tone Granny Apple Green card. The banners were added using three strips of double-sided tape to create a pocket for journalling panels.

I added Adhesive Sheets to the back of the Granny Apple Green 6″x 6″ Designer Series Paper. Then I used the Party Alphabet Dies (165263) to cut out the letters for the layout title.

I placed the ‘a great’ words on a strip of the same two-tone card and then created a torn upper and lower edge to frame the words.

A paper piercing tool was used to create the holes that were used to thread white baker’s twine to ‘hang’ the banner pieces.

The second page of the layout had the hanging banner continue with each banner holding a journalling panel.

The journalling panels were made from a piece of Willow White card. I used the Keeping Tabs Punch to cut a tab from some Granny Apple Green DSP. After securing the tab to the journalling panel, I added one of the black and white pears from the Goods Times Mix & Match Ephemera Pack.

Both pages had two large pears adhered to finish the title – “We’re a Great Pear”.

I’m looking forward to rifling through our photos to find the six or seven that I will include on this layout.
