3D THURSDAY HAS COME AROUND AGAIN!

I do enjoy creating 3D projects.

For this project I wanted to use some of the gold foil oval shapes, from the Impressions Abloom Dies, on the sides.

I created a triangular gift box using Basic Black card.

It is always fun to do ‘the math’ and create a base and lid for a triangular box and get it right!

I used the Impressions Abloom Dies to cut the gold and black flowers and leaves to decorate the box.

You just be able to see the gold lines on the top of the lid. I transferred this design from the Metallic Textures Rub-ons.

The box was finished when I tied a multiple bow using the Gold Twisted Thread. I attached it to the lid using a Mini Glue Dot.

Tomorrow I have a super simple, pop-up card to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping and scrapbooking.

WHAT’S HAPPENING THIS WEDNESDAY?

The card I have to share with you today is a Christmas card using the Bauble Blooms Stamp Set and Metallic Textures Run-ons.

The wreath, from the rub-ons pack, was transferred to black oval I cut using the die from the Impressions Abloom Dies.

Then I stamped and heat embossed the Christmas greeting below the wreath.

I cut the gold oval frame and attached it to the black oval piece. The black Stampin’ Dimensionals were used to pop the oval layers up from the card base.

The gold leaves were transferred onto the card insert and the back of the envelope.

Tomorrow is Thursday and that means that I will have a 3D project to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping and scrapbooking.

TUESDAY IS MY DAY FOR SHARING TECHNIQUES & TIPS

I have another black and gold project to share with you today.

The technique I am featuring is EMBOSSING – both dry and heat embossing.

I am using the new Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder (166145 $21AUD).

To prepare for this card I embossed two panels of Basic Black card. Then I applied Versamark to one and sprinkled WOW Gold Embossing Powder across it. I still love watching the powder ‘melt and turn into a shining gold feature.

I added a gold foil panel to the Basic Black card base before placing the embossed black layer.

Then I fussy cut some of the gold embossed sunflowers.

TIP: When heat embossing run an embossing buddy over the card to ensure that more Versamark adheres to the card. Then sprinkle the powder over the card, above an embossing tray. Use a fine paint brush to dust away any powder that is sitting in an area where it shouldn’t.

The fussy cut sunflowers were positioned on the embossed layer using Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The greeting, from the Choose Happy Stamp Set (163701 $37AUD).

THIS IS NOT THE STAMP SET I USED – IT SHOULD BE A PHOTO INCLUDING THE CHOOSE HAPPY STAMP SET.

The Christmas greeting was stamped using StazOn Jet BLack ink onto some gold foil. Then I used a banner die, from the stylish Shapes Dies, to cut the greeting.

The banners were then added to the card front using dimensionals.

With all the bright, bold gold I decided not to add any more bling.

What do you think?

Tomorrow I will have another gold project to share. I will be using the Metallic Textures Run-ons again.

Until then, happy stamping.
