THIS WEEK’S GLOBAL DESIGN PROJECT CHALLENGE

Here is the card I have made for #GDP346.

The challenge this week is a Sketch Challenge. You can see the projects that the GDP team created for this challenge by clicking in the image below.

As I am featuring the Pretty Birds Bundle this week, I knew immediately that I wanted to feature the feather dies on my card.

I stamped the bird cage image three times before using the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder to add texture to the basic White layer.

After cutting several feathers from some Brights 6″x 6″ DSP, I used Multi Purpose Glue and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the feathers to the card.

The Happiness Abounds birthday greeting was stamped onto a strip of Basic White cardstock. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the sentiment and popped it up on the front of the card.

Tomorrow I will have a 3D project to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping.

FUNFOLD FRIDAY

Today’s Funfold card is a Pop Up Diorama Card. This is the first time that I have made this type of card and I made two – I hope that you like them.

These are the last projects using the Hues of Happiness Collection for this week.

The first card features a Melon Mambo card base and a piece of Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper.

The Melon Mambo frame is from the Fabulous Frames Dies set. I stamped the greeting, from the Happiness Abounds Stamp Set, onto a Basic White panel before wrapping the bow around it. The White Glittered Organdy Ribbon was coloured using the Dark Melon Mambo Stampin’ Blend. Then Stampin’ Dimensionals were added to the back of the panel and it was placed, at an angle, over the frame.

A few Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels were colouredwith Stampin’ Blends and attached to the card front.

When the card is opened the pop up diarama is revealed.

Inside the card, I added several flowers that were die cut from the DSP.

I stamped a flower onto a piece of Basic White cardstock and adhered it inside the card. The same flower was stamped on the front of the envelope.

The depth of the diarama card is 1/2″.

The second card was created in the same way, using Night of Navy as an alternative colour.

Which card do you prefer – Melon Mambo or Night of Navy?

Tomorrow I will begin a new week of projects with a new bundle of products.

Until then, happy stamping.

GLOBAL DESIGN PROJECT #GDP344

I missed last week’s #GDP343 Challenge and am so pleased to be back this week enjoying the challenge.

This week it is a CASEing a card challenge.

I decided to CASE the general layout from Charlet’s card.

The Hues of Happiness Suite is my focus this week so I have used these products for this project.

I selected this piece of Pool Party through to Night of Navy Designer Series Paper from the Hues of Happiness DSP pack to cut the largest shape from the Scalloped Contours Dies.

A length of Pool Party 3/8″ Sheer Ribbon was threaded through two of the scallop semi-circles and tied in a bow. Then I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of this panel and popped it up on the Basic White card base.

The three flowers were stamped using Versamark and then heat embossed with white embossing powder before I cut them with the Blossoming Happiness Dies.

I used one Mini Glue Dot to attach each flower to the front of the card.

Just like Charlett’s card, I stamped a sentiment three times and used white embossing powder on a Night of Navy background. Each birthday greeting was cut into three strips and added to the card front.

I enjoy taking part in the GDP Challenges because it always stretches me creatively – the GDP team is so creative!

Later today I will have a Colour INKspiration project to share.

Until then, happy stamping.
