MERRIEST MOMENTS – CHRISTMAS IN JULY

Hello lovely crafters! Welcome and thank you so much for popping by to see today’s project. Well, it was actually my Facebook Live project from Thursday.

With the new July – December Mini Catalogue and Sale-a-bration Brochure about to launch, I wanted to share some more of the amazing new products coming your way. I also wanted to show how these new products corrdinate with Annual Catalogue products.

For this project I used the Merriest Moments Bundle, as well as the Gold 12″x 12″ Shimmer Vellum and Gold 3/8″ Shimmer Ribbon from the Blackberry Beauty Suite. I was so pleased with how well these new products coordinate with the Expressions in Ink Specialty Designer Series Paper.

This is the sample card I made before my Facebook Live. After making this version I made some slight adjustments to the card I made during my Live. For this card I used a Shaded Spruce card base. Then I took a slightly smaller piece of Shaded Spruce cardstock and embossed it using the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder.

A length of the Gold Shimmer Ribbon was tied and trimmed before being wrapped around this embossed layer. The ribbon was secured on the back of the cardstock and then glued to the card base.

I used the outline die, from the die set that is part of the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder, to cut a piece of the Expressions in Ink Specialty DSP. The next step was to cut a piece of the Gold Shimmer Vellum using the more detailed outline die and rectangular die, as you can see. The remaining rectangle gold vellum piece was then reduced in size before the Christmas sentiment was stamped in Jet Black StazOn. This piece was adhered to a slightly larger piece of Shaded Spruce cardstock and popped up using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

This collection of layers was then attached to the card using lots of Stampin’ Dimensionals. I stamped one of the leaves images onto the card insert and envelope.

The card I made during my Facebook Live yesterday was very similar to the sample card I have already shared. However, there are a few differences. Can you spot them?

The differences include – cutting and embossing the Expressions in Ink layer; Stampin’ Dimensionals on the DSP layer only around the central rectangle area (none around the edges); using Adhesive Sheet rather than Stampin’ Seal+ to adhere the gold vellum stamped rectangle to the Shaded Spruce rectangle layer; and no Gold Shimmer Ribbon on the second card, instead some Gold Metallic Pearls.

I think that I prefer the second card! What do you think? LEt me know which of the two you prefer.

In recent years, I have been sending a bundle of Christmas cards to my sister for her to send to friends and family. So I decided to decorate a C6 Acetate Box to pop some Christmas cards into and send to her. One of these will amke their way into the box.

I won’t explain what I did to create the bellyband for the acetate card box – I am very confident that most of you will be able to look at the image and “deconstruct” the products and process.

I may not be able to show you products as they appear in the new Mini Catalogue, but I can share this image of some of the ‘new goodies’ that I used for these projects.

I really love the way the Shaded Spruce colour works so well with the Gold Glimmer Vellum and the Expressions in Ink Specialty Designer Series Paper.

Hmmmmmm – yes. I’m happy with these projects. LEt me know what you think!

Until my next post, happy stamping.

POP UP TIME

Hello and thank you for popping by. I hope you like the project that I am sharing with you today.

It’s Wednesday, so that means it is a blog hop day.

May be an image of coffee cup and text that says 'Freshly Brewed PROJEGTS'

This week’s theme is Fancy Fold Cards. This is the first time I have made a Pop Up Cube card. I was inspired by a card that Lisa Curcio shared recently. Her instructions were so easy to follow.

I chose the Expressions in Ink Suite for this project. The Specialty Designer Series Paper is simply stunning. I love the gold elements that have been incorporated into the watercoloured images. For the DSP panels, that have been adhered to the cube base, I added a Gold Foil layer behoind the green and gold. This helps the DSP pop. Of course, I needed to add some of the Gold Metallic Pearls to emphasise the gold features even more.

The birthday greeting is from the Artistically Inked Stamp Set and was stamped in Polished Pink. It was cut using one of the Bloom Dies, from the Art in Bloom Bundle. Then I cut an Evening Evergreen panel to pop behind the greeting. It is attached to the inside of the card using a small circle of the same coloured cardstock which is folded in half. This creates a hinge so the greeting sits in just the right place.

The flowers and leaves were stamped and die cut. Then I ‘painted’ on some Versamark refill and used the Heat & Stick Powder to lay down some Gilded Leafing. I looped some gold Simply Elegant Trim behind one of the flowers.

The card folds down so that it can slide inside an envelope. I forgot to take a photo of the back of the card to share with you. It has two panels of Basic White cardstock. One is stamped, in Evening Evergreen, with ‘best wishes’ and both have a cluster of three small flowers stamped in Polished Pink.

I think that I will need to make more of these cards using lots of different paper designs and stamps.

Make sure that pop by to see what the Freshly Brew crew have created.

Happy stamping.

A MIXED BUNCH

Hello and welcome to today’s project share. I’m so pleased that you popped by.

Today I’m using a few different products. I’ve chosen the Quiet Meadow Bundle; Expressions in Ink Specialty Designer Series Paper and 2021-2023 In Colour Shimmer Vellum, Jewels and OPen Weave Ribbon.

You have to love the way the colours coordinate across so many different products. The Pale Papaya and Polished Pink in the DSP allow me to use the coordinating Shimmer Vellum and Open Weave Ribbon.

I stamped the script image on the DSP using the Stamparatus and repositioning the paper between stamping. This was also stamped on the card insert and envelope.

After I cut the Meadows stems I overlapped and adhered them to create a lovely bouquet of meadow flowers. The greeting was stamped and cut. This label die looks great with same Pale Papaya OPen Weave Ribbon looped through it. Some Polished Pink Jewels finish the card.

The Shimmer Vellum is very shimmery – no Clear Wink of Stella for this card.

I like the new background that I’m using for my photos. What do you think?

Who would you send a ‘bunch of flowers’ to? Who are you thinking of?

Happy stamping.
