ANOTHER BABY PROJECT

Hello – thank you for popping by. Today I have another baby card to share.

I made this card during my Facebook Live on Wednesday.

I had planned to make a coordinating gift box but time ran away from me. So, after the Live, I made it afterwards.

I used a piece of Mint Macaron card stock measuring 12″x 10-1/2″. Along the shorter edge, I scored at 2-1/2″, 5″, 7-1/2″ and 10″. Initially I thought each side would measure 2″ but I needed it to be wider to fit the Baby Pull Toy images on the front. So instead of using one of the tag punch, I used the Detailed Trio Punch to round off the corners and the Label Me Fancy Punch to punch the slot for the Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon.

The box is 9-1/2″ tall and there are lots of possible gifts to pop inside the box. What would you put inside?

Happy stamping.

OH, BABY!

Hello and welcome to another Wednesday Freshly Brewed Projects Blog Hop. Thank you for joining me, and the other wonderful Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators taking part.

This week’s theme is Oh, Baby – so we will be sharing ideas for baby cards.

For this weekly hop, I decided to use the Baby Pull Toys Stamp Set. It seemed to be the perfect stamp set to use to make a sideways waterfall card, so that the toys can be pulled along.

The first thing I did was to prepare the waterfall mechanism. Then I stamped, coloured and die cut the images and sentiment.

I assembled the waterfall component of the card then I cut two 2″ strips of Balmy Blue card stock and used the Scalloped Tag Topper punch to create the pull tag. I added some star images and tied some Whisper White 1/4″ Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon through the end of the tag.

For the front of the card, I used a Blending Brush and one of the Basic Pattern Decorative Masks to create the polka dot design on the card stock.

Now, I couldn’t just make a blue card – so, here’s a pink one.

Same process, just some colour changes. If you would like to see how I made these cards, click on the image below and you can watch today’s Facebook Live. I make a third card, in Mint Macaron.

I think that I will make another one, during my Facebook Live, using either So Saffron or Mint Macaron. That way I will have three options available – baby boy, baby girl or baby gender yet to be revealed.

I can’t wait to see what the other blog hoppers have created. Make sure you pop across to see what the others have created:

There are two new stamp sets in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue that are perfect for baby cards. I can’t wait to share them with you.

So until then, happy stamping.

BABY PULL TOYS CARD

Hello and thank you so much for popping by. I am so pleased that you have dropped by to see what I have been making. If you have popped by before, I am so grateful for you taking the time. If this is your first time you have visited my site, thanks – I hope that you like what you see.

A recent goal has been to make sure that I have made projects from any of the stamp sets that I have bought from the 2021 JANUARY – JUNE MINI CATALOGUE BEFORE I preorder any products from the 2021 – 2022 ANNUAL CATALOGUE. I am so close to achieving this goal!

Today’s project uses the BABY PULL TOYS CARD.

The LAYERING CIRCLES DIES are perfect for this card. I wanted to use them to create focal points for each of the three pull toy images. The first pull toy is this super cute giraffe.

The next pull toy is this very brave lion. I was able to use the circle cut out from the front of the card on the inside card flap. The hearts image stamp looks so cute, stamped in So Saffron.

And, onto the next layer.

Flip the next layer and you will find the elegant elephant pull toy. There are more hearts stamped and another card stock circle.

Lift the final flap and …

… there is lots of white space to write the message you want to share with the parents or grandparents of the new baby.

This is such a cute card to send to someone who has a new baby in the family. The baby pull toys are sooooo cute.

Do you have someone to send this card to?

Happy stamping!
