FUN FOLD FRIDAY IS ALWAYS A FUN WAY TO SPEND THE DAY

Today I have a Multi Fold Card to share with you. I recently watched a reel, on Facebook, by Heidi Collins from On Y Go Stamping where she showed how to create this card style.

As you know this week I have been featuring the Weekend Adventures products from the OnLine Exclusives range.

I loved the enamel style camp cup that is in the stamp set.

The paper design with the boot print, compass and enamel mug helps create a perfect camping/hiking themed card.

I used another technique for this card – masking. By using this technique I was able to have the mugs look as thoiught they were stacked.

When the card is opened out this is what you will find inside.

I used some of the sticker elements to decorate the card.

To finish the card I added some white dots from the Neutral Matte Dots pack.

This week has been so much fun using the Weekend Adventures products. I hope you have enjoyed seeing projects that are not scrapbooking alone. A kit of products like this make it easy to make cards and 3D projects as well.

Next week I will use another collection of products to create projects with.

Until then, happy stamping and scrapbooking.

IT IS THURSDAY & TIME FOR A 3D PROJECT

Last week, during the first Virtual Album Retreat that Stampin’ Up! hosted we created an explosion box for one of the page layouts.

I decided to create a Christmas Explosion 3D Card using the same measurements we used for the album page.

The explosion box was made using Old Olive card and used the tree design paper from the Weekend Adventures 12″x 12″ Designer Series Paper.

Then I added panels of Basic White card and a variety of designs from the DSP pack.

The card had several pockets added to allow for giftcards and photos.

I used one of the dies from the Party Banners Dies to cut some gold reinforcement circles to finish the 1/8″ circle I punched using one of the Hole Punch Assortment pack.

Then I used some retired ribbon to create a wrap and bow to hold the box closed.

I added a shaker card in the centre of the explosion box using Loose Gold Sequins.

For the bauble die cut and the greeting I used the Bauble Blooms Bundle. To finish the bauble I added a die cut gold hangtag.

Tomorrow I have a fun fold card to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping and scrapbooking.

TWO FOR ONE WEDNESDAY

Today I have two projects to share with you because I had to work on some web hosting issues yesterday.

The first project features measuring as the key technique – simple I know. My tip is to use your grid paper to map out your layout.

The card also features the Weekend Adventure Scrapbooking Workshop Kit products.

I added a Basic White panel to the Cajun Craze card base.

Then I cut six 1 1/2″x 1 1/2″ Cajun Craze squares and six 1″x 1″ checkered Designer Series Paper squares. After adhering them together I positioned them on the card front.

I added three of the printed and precut elements, from the kit, to the card. They were all popped up using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The bottom tag had lengths of the White Baker’s Twine looped through the hole and trimmed.

The card insert and back of the envelope had more of the DSP adhered to them.

Finally, I added some black dots from the Neutral Matte Dots to embellish the card front.

The second project today is another simple card using just the products from the kit.

This card features paper tearing as the key technique. The tip for paper tearing is to hold the paper firmly and tear the paper slowly toward you – this will reveal the white centre of the paper or card you are using.

I looped the White Baker’s Twine around my fingers several times before seucirng it to the base of the scalloped element.

Tomorrow I have a 3D card to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping and scrapbooking.
