3D THURSDAY – A SHADOW GIFT BOX

I seem to be making lots of shadow boxes of late. They are fun to make and I love the thought process required to visualise and then ‘draft’ the layout and measurements needed to create them.

My philosophy when crafting is ‘measure twice – cut once’. This helps to minimise ‘mistakes’.

This shadow gift box is more masculine in style.

The box is made with a Lost Lagoon base and outer band.

I added a Designer Series Paper panel to the top of the outer band.

I stamped and coloured the adironack chair using Lost Lagoon – Classic Stampin’ Pad and Stampin’ Blends. The Colour Lifter was perfect to create some more colour gradation.

The sentiment was stamped and then punched using the 1 3/4″ circle punch. A 1 7/8″ circle punch was used to cut a Lost Lagoon circle to place behind the greeting.

I wrapped a length of White Textured Ribbon around the box base and tied it in a bow. This provides an easy way to slide the box base out.

Now I just need to find something special to pop inside the gift box.

Tomorrow I have a final masculine card to share with you.

Until then, happy stampin and memory keeping.
