mmm...Stampin' Time

ONSTAGE AFTER HOURS & BEYOND

During my long absence from posting my projects here, I spent 9 weeks travelling with my husband. During our adventures, we spent time in Germany where I attended the Stampin’ Up! Onstage event.

One of the features of the event was ‘After Hours’, an evening of extra card mkaing. We were given a kit containing the Fern & Flora Bundle, Moonlit Flora Designer Series Paper and the cardstock we needed to create four projects.

These are the cards I brought home with me from the conference.

When I returned home, my preordered Moonlit Flora Suite (and quite a few other goodies) was waiting for me.

THe first card I made was a fun fold card.

All the panels in this fun fold card gave me lots of areas to feature the designs of the paper.

To decorate the card front, I die cut several leaf stems in vellum, Mossy Meadow and Basic White. I also stamped and die cut 3 butterflies.

I cut a length of Peaceful Pine Bordered Ribbon and cut the border to create a thin ribbon strip. Then I looped the ribbon under the greeting panel.

To embellish the card front I added some Secret Sea Dewdrops.

I added a white panel to the card for a personal message to be written.

A BIRTHDAY CARD BY SPECIAL REQUEST

The card I am sharing today was made by special request. I love it when family and friends ask me to make cards for them to give to a specific person.

For this card, a shade of purple was the only requirement – so I chose Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather. to coordinate with the Violet Dreams Designer Series Paper.

This is such a beautiful collection of products and I’m looking forward to creating more projects with them.

This card measures 6″x6″ and has a custom envelope.

I decided to make a fun fold card so that I could decorate the panels with different DSP.

I used the Words & Wishes Dies to create the birthday greeting.

I’m looking forward to giving this to my daughter so that she can give it to the mother of her partner.

Tomorrow I am going to start sharing some projects that I have made using a different product suite.

TIME FOR CELEBRATIONS

Weddings and birthdays always call for some special card creations.

First to some weddings – my youngest daughter asked me to make a card for her friend’s upcoming wedding.

I started by choosing the papers I would use – Lunar Lustre, Shimmering Stripes, vellum and Lost Lagoon.

The panel of Shimmering Stripes was embossed using the So Swirly Embossing Folder (last chance).

I used two of the Branching Out Dies to create the layers that I decorated with die cut Boutique Blossoms leaves and the initials of the bride and groom.

Although retired, the Lost Lagoon Soft Cording was perfect for this card.

I made a custom envelope for the card and decorated in a similar way to the card.

The ‘Mr & Mrs’ from the retired To Have & To Hold stamp Set was used for the front of the envelope.

I used the Stampin’ Positioner to stamp the greeting in Lost Lagoon and then Versamark before sprinkling some clear embossing powder and heating it.

The card and envelope were embellished with some of the Adhesive-backed Blooms.

After finishing this card and being really happy with the way it looked, I repeated the process and made a second card for my nephew’s wedding later in the year.
