WAYS WITH PACKAGING

Hello and welcome to another Wednesday Freshly Brewed Projects Blog Hop. Thank you for joining me, and the other wonderful Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators taking part.

May be an image of food, coffee cup and text that says 'Freshly Brewed PROJEGTS'

This week’s theme is WAYS WITH PACKAGING. I chose the MINI PAPER PUMPKIN BOXES as the starting place for my project.

MINI PAPER PUMPKIN B0X

It is the perfect size to hold decorated BASIC WHITE NOTE CARDS & ENVELOPES.

I made this project, unplanned, on my Facebook Live last Wednesday. It was a case of perfect timing because my BUTTERFLY BRILLIANCE COLLECTION arrived the day before, so I was able to open all the products live.

BUTTERFLY BRILLIANCE COLLECTION

This is such a gorgeous collection of stamps, dies and papers. Let me show you my project.

I used a few pieces of the BUTTERFLY BIJOU 6″x 6″ DESIGNER SERIES PAPER. I used the same sheet – the butterflies are on one side and the the soft, watercolour look is on the other.

There are 11 dies in the BRILLIANT WINGS DIES. The large, connected die cuts out all six butterflies in one go. I used the same die, again, to cut six vellum butterflies. I attached these to the back of the DSP butterflies.

Then I used the more detailed dies to cut six intricate butterflies that I popped onto the front.

Before I secured the butterflies onto the top of the box, I attached loops of Pool Party Sheer Ribbon. A big thank you to Fran Ward, who was watching my Live and suggested that I used Basic Black card stock to cut the ‘thank you’ from the WELL WRITTEN DIES set. This poor set has been sitting on the shelf for far too long, unused.

Although I ran out time to make my cards live, I did make them kater that day. I made 5 cards to pop into the box as a gift for someone special.

The DSP is wondeerful to use. Lots of lovely butterflies and a great variety of backgrounds.

BUTTERFLY BIJOU 6" X 6" (15.2 X 15.2 CM) DESIGNER SERIES PAPER

Let me show you the cards close up.

Look at me and all the fussy cutting that I’ve been doing. Who would have thought? This is the last card that I made and you can see that I quickly moved from simple to a little more complex.

The birthday greeting is from the IN BLOOM STAMP SET. I used a post it note to cover the ‘you really are the best’ part of the stamp so that I could just have the Happy Birthday. I did this for all the cards.

This was the first card I made and it was refreshing to make a simple card.

The DSP does all the hard work with these cards.

For this card, I used the STITCHED WITH WHIMSY DIES to create three ‘panels’ across the front of the NATURAL TOUCH SPECIALTY PAPER. This paper resembles a fine timber veneer and it has a fine texture.

I think this is my favourite card from the bundle. Which card is your favourite? Who would you give this gift box of cards to?

Don’t forget, that my project is part of a blog hop – so make sure that you go to the links below and see what the other FRESHLY BREWED PROJECTS team members have created.

Happy stamping.

WITH THANKS

Hello to each of you who pop by to see what I have been creating. I appreciate each of you and your interest.

It’s time for this month’s blog hop!

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is Blog%2BHop%2BHeader_Training.jpg

Thank you for joining us for our Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator Training Program Monthly Blog Hop! We are so happy that you could join us today for this blog hop for ideas and creative inspiration. We are a group of Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators from around the world that are taking part in training that is helping us to build a successful Stampin’ Up!® business and reach some goals we have set. We really appreciate your support.

Each month I look forward to creating thank you cards to send to my customers who have placed an order with me during that month. Some of these cards will also have a gift from me as well, if the order was at least $50 and the HOST CODE was used.

The ‘thank you’ cards I have made for March have six different designs. I decided to use a few of the FREE Sale-a-bration products. I hope that you all placed your orders in time to earn these these amazing products – PAPER BLOOMS DSP and the A TOUCH OF INK STAMP SET.

I really went outside my usual ‘style’ but wanted to see how they could be teamed together.

The colour palette from the Designer Series Paper, I think, made it quite easy – Night of Navy, Old Olive, Petal Pink, Rococo Rose, Seaside Spray and Soft Sea Foam.

I think my favourite sheet of DSP is the one with the individual water colour circles.

It was loads of fun using the STITCHED SHAPES DIES circles to cut all the colours from the DSP for some of these cards.

For each of the butterflies I stamped the outlinebefore stamping off the in fill colour. I love the way the in fill colour is that it is not confined to wings. It looks like it is a messy watercolour (my favourite kind of water colouring).

The 12 different designs in the PAPER BLOOMS DSP pack have so many ways they can be used and combined.

And, now it’s time to move onto the hummingbird!

I hope that my wonderful customers enjoy their March THANK YOU card – in the mail in the first week of April.

Let’s take a closer look.

I added some ribbon from the BOHO INDIGO PRODUCT MEDLEY to wrap around the card front. I used my Rococo Rose Stampin’ Blends to colour some OPAL ROUNDS to add to the card front.

A ‘very’ thankful card! I used the OPAL ROUNDS again, as well as some of the ROCOCO ROSE SCALLOPED LINEN RIBBON. The butterful was coloured using Blends and Wink of Stella before fussy cutting it.

It is easy to underestimate the versatility of the STITCHED SHAPES DIES.

It’s so interesting how using different DSP can create such a different look for a similar layout.

I liked that this DSP could be used to feature the hummingbird.

There is no butterfly or hummingbird for this card – it just features the leaves and flowers.

While I have created six different THANK YOU card designs, I look forward to sending them to my customers.

I hope that you let me know what you think. Which card would you like to receive?

There will lots of other thank you cards, made by demonstrators around the world. Check them out and get some great ideas for your own cards. I hope you enjoy hopping.

Happy stamping!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Hello! I enjoy sharing my projects with each of you. Thanks for popping by.

I have made a few cards using the CIRCLE CELEBRATIONS STAMP SET and I shared one yesterday. Today I have another for you.

I used three of the stamps to create the patterns for this card. Two of them were stamped dirrectly onto a Basic White mat. I used the third one to stamp and then cut out the circles before gluing them onto coloured circle bases.

The rainbow of colours are Daffodil Delight, Gorgeous Grape, Granny Apple Gree, Highland Heather, Pacific Point and Poppy Parade.

Once the colour circles were glued onto the mat piece, I used the OLD WORLD PAPER 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER to create the texture.

I used STAMPIN’ WRITE MARKERS™ to colour each word separately. The stamp was on my Stamparatus and I used a post it note to cover the other word. Once the word was inked up, I removed the post it note and stamped the word. Then I cleaned the stamp and repeated this, colouring the other word.

I used STAMPIN’ BLENDS to colour some RHINESTONE BASIC JEWELS to coordinate.

I love the explosion of colour on this card. Who would you send this birthday card to?

Happy stamping.
