SLICE OF PIE

Hello! I am so pleased that you have popped by today.

Today I have a card that features the Sweets & Treats Stamp Set and Cloche Dies.

For this card I stamped and fussy cut the pies and pedestal base. I used these to help me position the cloche die in the positon you can see above.

The Cloche Shaker Dome was attached to the inside of the card. I placed one of the cut pie images to a piece of White Vellum before attaching to the inside of the card.

The remaining pies were then added to the card front. I didn’t just stamp them because I wanted to create a subtle element of dimension.

I stamped the greeting and trimmed it to this size. A short length of coordinating Diamond Weave Ribbon was folded and tucked under the greeting panel.

I was surprised by how much the Cloche Shaker Dome reflected the view from my craft room.

That’s better – less reflection in this photo.

The Diamond Weave Ribbon is gorgeous. It almost resembles macrame. It has great texture.

I am looking forward to making more projects using the Domes!

Have you ordered this bundle? Do you have projects that you can share?

Until next time, happy stamping.

COUNTING SHEEP CLING STAMP SET (ENGLISH)
SHEEP DIES

Aren’t they cute!

I started this card by water colouring the paddock and sky in Garden Green and Balmy Blue. The three different sheep were stamped in Soft Suede and then fussy cut (I know there are dies).

I die cut the fences and added them to the card front. Two of them were popped up using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The sheep then found their places.

The middle sheep is holding the “You’re Amazing'” sign. It was stamped in Balmy Blue and cut using my go to Stitched Rectangle Dies. The dancing sheep was stamped on the card insert and the envelope. Some Blue Adhesive-backed Gems were the final touch – just to add a little sparkle.

I like these little sheep and am thinking of other ways that I can use them in projects.

Are the stamp set and dies on your wishlist? How would you use them in a project?

Until next time, happy stamping.

SOURCES OF INSPIRATION

Hello! Thank you for popping by for today’s project.

I find inspiration for different projects from so many sources. Today’s decor piece was inspired by a local restaurant that I walked past recently. As I wandered past I knew that I had a stamp set that I could use to achieve the style of headwear used in the restaurant’s logo. The restaurant is called Frida Kahlo’s Summer House. The owner, from Mexico, has a relative who used to live around the corner from Frida Kahlo.

Using the restaurants logo I made a template for the shape of the hair and brow. I hand cut this in Basic Black. Then I used the Art Gallery Stamp Set to create the Basic Black and Cherry Cobbler flowers.

I cut three layers for the background and glued them together. The hair and brow were adhered to the Basic White layer before shaping the flowers and adding them using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I attached some Adhesive Sheet to the back of the cardstock before cutting out the letters for ‘Summer House’ and positioned them on a piece of Basic Black cardstock. Black Stampin’ Dimensionals were used to layer this up on the background. An additional flower was attached near the ‘S’ and a few Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels were added.

Finally, I placed it inside an Ikea shadow frame. I am very pleased with the way this decor project turned out. What do you think? I am looking forward to giving this to the owner for his restaurant.

Until next time, happy stamping.
