A GOLFING INSPIRED BIRTHDAY

We are going to a 30th birthday party today and I wanted to make a card to suit the recipient. Last year I used the Whisky Business Stamp Set for his card. This year I decided to use some of the retired Country Club Designer Series Paper for this easel card.

After I finished making the Night of Navy easeal card base, I cut Garden Green card and some of the Designer Series Paper for the front panel.

Then I used the Playful Alphabet Dies, Foam Adhesive Sheets and Crushed Curry card stock to create the birthday message.

I added a strip of the same golf buggy DSP to the envelope.

To ensure the easel card would stand well, I cut a piece of Night of Navy card stock using one of the Seasonal Labels Dies. This ‘stopper’ also had some Foam Adhesive Sheet attached.

To coordinate with the golf balls and tees DSP I adhered one of husband’s tees on this area of the card.

I love the look of the used tee – it’s a bit like an old trophy.

When the card is opened out, there is a birthday greeting stamped using the Biggest Wish Stamp Set. I really love the way the two different fonts work together with these sentiments; and, they look amazing when stamped in two different colours.

Although this is a masculine birthday card, I couldn’t resist some bling. I used some of the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

As you can see, I forgot to add the Seasonal Labels Dies to the product image. Oops!

So, what do you think of James’ birthday card?

Until next time, happy stamping.

GINGERBREAD GIFT FOR CHRISTMAS

During my Facebook Live yesterday I made a gift box using the Gingerbread & Peppermint emories & More Card Pack.

I have been looking for some Christmas gingerbreads over the past couple of weeks and found a container of white and green iced gingerbread Christmas trees on Wednesday – perfect timing for my Thursday Facebook Live.

I started by making a 3″x 2-1/2″ box base using Cinnamon Cider card stock. Then I adhered the 4″x 3″ “Sugar and Spice” Memories & More card to the front.

The other three sides of the box were covered with the same iced gingerbread looking panels that were trimmed down to fit each side.

The gift tag was made by trimming down the “It’s beginning to taste a lot like Christmas” card to 3-3/4″x 2″. A piece of Basic White card stock was cut down to the same size and was stamped with the “to” and “from” from the Delivering Cheer Stamp Set.

These two pieces were then glued on either side of the black cooling rack. I punched a small hole in the top so that it could have the Real Red ribbon threaded through it.

I used tongs to transfer some of the gingerbread Christmas trees into one of the food safe Love, Santa Treat Bags. The bag was tied off with a length of Real Red Mini Ruffled Ribbon.

The Treat Bags have four designs – Christmas trees, spots, plaid and leaves. The Christmas tree bag was perfect for this project.

LOVE, SANTA TREAT BAGS

There are 12 bags in each package – three each of the four designs.

Oops – I used Real Red not Poppy Parade ink!

The Gingerbread & Pepperming Memoreis & More Cards have so many great inclusions. I absolutley love the cooling racks, oven gloves and spatulas. They are so cute.

I have enough gingerbread trees left to make a couple more gift boxes. These will make a great Christmas gift for teachers or neighbours or … What do you think? Who would you give this to?

Until next time, happy stamping.

HALLOWEEN FUN

It is Wednesday and it’s time for a Freshly Brewed Project Blog Hop. This week’s theme is Halloween.

May be an image of coffee cup and text that says 'Freshly Brewed PROJEGTS'

Just like my pumpkin themed card yesterday I didn’t think that I had a stamp set that I could use. That was until I found the Banner Year Stamp Set.

I also had one of my lovely Coffee & Card ladies recently say that one of the stampes from the Sweet Ice Cream Stamp Set reminded her of a ghost – so I combined the two for this card.

I started by choosing the colours for the card – Basic Gray, Basic White, Smoky Slate and Black.

The ‘ghosts’ were stamped using Smoky Slate that I stamped off first. Then I fussy cut the ghost and brushed it with Clear Wink of Stella.

For the background panel I stamped the cobweb image from the Banner Year Stamp Set using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. The ‘boo’ was stamped using Basic Gray ink.

The bats were stamped in black and, once dry, painted with Clear Wink of Stella.

Before adding the bats and ghosts to the stamped layer I wrapped and tied some Metallic Mesh Ribbon around it. The ghosts and bats were then added using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To finish the ghosts I added some Matte Black Dots.

Then I stamped and trimmed down the ‘happy haunting’ greeting before using Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop it up.

I stamped the same greeting and bats on the card insert. The bats were also added to the envelope.

For someone who “doesn’t do Halloween” I am really happy with the way this card turned out. What do you think?

Make sure you pop by and see what the rest of the Freshly Brewed Project Team have created.

Until next time, happy stamping.
