SLICE OF PIE

Hello! I am so pleased that you have popped by today.

Today I have a card that features the Sweets & Treats Stamp Set and Cloche Dies.

For this card I stamped and fussy cut the pies and pedestal base. I used these to help me position the cloche die in the positon you can see above.

The Cloche Shaker Dome was attached to the inside of the card. I placed one of the cut pie images to a piece of White Vellum before attaching to the inside of the card.

The remaining pies were then added to the card front. I didn’t just stamp them because I wanted to create a subtle element of dimension.

I stamped the greeting and trimmed it to this size. A short length of coordinating Diamond Weave Ribbon was folded and tucked under the greeting panel.

I was surprised by how much the Cloche Shaker Dome reflected the view from my craft room.

That’s better – less reflection in this photo.

The Diamond Weave Ribbon is gorgeous. It almost resembles macrame. It has great texture.

I am looking forward to making more projects using the Domes!

Have you ordered this bundle? Do you have projects that you can share?

Until next time, happy stamping.

BRING ON CHRISTMAS

Hello and welcome to today’s Christmas in July project. Thank you for popping by.

With only 5 months and 3 days until Christmas, I thought that I would share a new card using some of the new products that will be available from early August.

I used the Sweets & Treats and Classic Cloche Stamp Sets for this one. The first thing I did was choose the Designer Series Paper and colours that I wanted to use. The DSP is from the Tidings of Christmas 6″x 6″ DSP. The colours I used were Basic White, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Smoky Slate and Shaded Spruce.

I started by stamping, colouring and fussy cutting the pudding, cloche dome and cake stand. Then I stamped the pudding onto the card base several times.

A piece of DSP was attached to a panel of Shaded Spruce cardstock. I trimmed it back to achieve this irregular rhombus before adhering it to the card base.

I added the pudding and stand to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Some Clear Wink of Stella was added white pudding top, holly leaves and cake stand. I used some Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels for the ‘holly berries’ and the ‘mixed dried fruit’ in the pudding.

The pudding image was also stamped inside the card and onto the envelope. Finally, I tied a bow using Metallic Mesh Ribbon and secured it to the cake stand with a Mini GLue Dot.

I think that you are going like these two new stamp sets – I know that I am looking forward to creating more projects using them.

What do you think? How would you use this card? I think that it would make a great family Christmas invitiation.

Happy stamping.
