WINDOW SPOTLIGHT CARD

I wanted to use my ORNATE STYLE STAMP SET in a way that I hadn’t done before – to use it to create a spotlight card.

The idea was to have a coloured image on the front of my card and a stamped yet uncoloured image inside the card – with a ‘window’ die cut into the card front, using the LAYERING CIRCLES DIES.

The two sets of WARETCOLOUR PENCILS and a BLENDER PEN were used to colour the card front image.

As you can see, I used ORNATE GARDEN SPECIALTY DESIGNER SERIES PAPER to embellish the envelope flap and the inside of the card front (not photographed).

A piece of BUMBLEBEE GINGHAM RIBBOM was attached to the front of the card, before the DSP was adhered to the inside of the card fromt.

The sentiment used on the front of the card was from the ORNATE THANKS STAMP SET and stamped in GRANNY APPLE GREEN. It was trimmed and then popped up using dimensionals.

The envelope and inside of the card both had partially stamped images as the main image.

Finally, ‘for everything‘ was stamped on the inside of the card.

This was an interesting type of SPOTLIGHT CARD to make. What do you think?

Thanks for popping by … happy stamping.

These are the products I used to make this card. If you live in Australia, you can order any of them through me.

DEMONSTRATOR TRAINING BLOG HOP

So, 2020 has been a rough one but that doesn’t mean we can’t continue to plan for an amazing future. I have some very specific goals I want to achieve, over the next 12 months, in my business. To help me achieve them I recently enrolled in a Demonstrator Support Program run by Kylie and Bruno Bertucci.

I have participated in a small number of blog hops and have set as one of my goals to participate in more of them AND regularly. This is the first!

It may seem strange that this is a 2020-2021 program but the Stampin’ Up!® year begins on October 1.

I wanted to share my customer Thank You cards, I have I created for October, in this hop. It features the Ornate Thanks and Ornate Style stamp sets.

I made the card base using half a sheet of Terracotta Tile A4 cardstock. The floral layer is 4″x 5 5/8″ and comes from the Ornate Gardens Specialty DSP. Inside the card is a layer of Whisper White cardstock that has one of the floral stamps from the Ornate Style Stamp Set, again in Terracotta Tile. The Thank You sentiment is from the Ornate Thanks Stamp Set. I stamped it using Terracotta Tile Classic Stampin’ Pad onto Whisper White cardstock and then cut it using one of the Ornate Layers Dies. The sentiment is popped up using dimensionals to give the card some height. For the finishing touch, I adhered some bling from the Woven Threads Sequin Assortment.

I really like how they turned out!

Thank you so much for coming by today! We have an amazing line up of Stampin’ Up!® demonstrators from around the world that are working hard to learn how to be even more successful. BIRTHDAY CARDS

Yesterday I decided to take on the monthly demonstrator challenge from Stampin’ Up! ® . The theme for this month’s #simplestamping challenge is HAPPY BIRTHDAY; using only stamps, ink and paper.

I used the Note Cards and Envelopes because these are ideal for beginner stampers. Not every new paper crafter will want to rush out and order lots of card stock and a paper trimmer. So these packs of 20 card bases and envelopes make card making more accessible.

I used the LABEL ME BOLD stamp set, three colours, paper snips and multipurpose glue for this card. Six of the birthday sentiments have been layered many times to create height on the card.

This card is more subtle. The sentiment comes from the PERENNIAL BIRTHDAY stamp set and the flower from the ORNATE STYLE stamp set. I coloured the flower using Stampin’ Write Markers ™.

The LAYERED WITH KINDNESS stamp set and two classic stampin’ pads, make this such a quick and easy card.

BIRTHDAY BONANZA is a great name for this stamp set – it is a bonanza of party images and sentiments. I used the same three colours as the first card – Mango Melody, Melon Mambo and Pacific Point – bright and bold.

Using a stamp on – stamp off techniques gives two or three different shades of the one colour. I used the PERENNIAL BIRTHDAY stamp set again, along with the POSITIVE THOUGHTS stamp set for this card. Soft Sea Foam and Crumb Cake – just two colours used for this design.

Five birthday cards and 15 more card bases and envelopes to play with!

Thanks for popping by … happy stamping.

Here are the products I used to create these five cards.
