TUESDAY IS ALL ABOUT SHARING TECHNIQUES

A simple technique that I use often is LAYERING.

I especially enjoy layering elements at angles. Today I have two cards to share with you using this technique.

The first uses strips of card cut from a couple of the Memories & More cards.

The background was mounted onto a Secret Sea matte and then adhered to the cardbase.

I took a length of white twine and pulled it apart before tying it around one of the strips.

The strips were then overlapped, layered and then adhered to the card front using Multipurpose Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I die cut three scalloped strips and attached one to the card front, one inside the card and two on the back of the envelope.

The greeting was made using the Delightful Wishes Dies. Remember to use Adhesive Sheets on the back of your card before die cutting the layers.

To finish this card I added some Secret Sea Flat Pearls.

The next card features the Joyful Squares Stamp Set and Dies.

After attaching the butterfly garden card to a Secret Sea matte and white card base, I die cut three squares and layered and attached them.

The greeting was stamped and die cut then added to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I die cut 5 of the scalloped pieces and added them to the card insert and the back of the envelope.

To finish the card I added some Cloud Cover Flat Pearls.

So, what do think about these layering and angleing card elements?

Tomorrow, two more projects to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping and scrapbooking.

A SATURDAY SPECIAL – ANOTHER PROJECT TO SHARE

This card was the first card I made featuring the Joyful Squares Bundle and the Square Snippets Designer Series Paper.

For texture, I used the Beautiful Pattern 3D embossing Folder.

After embossing a Basic White panel, I wrapped a length of white Baker’s Twinearound it several times before tying a bow.

The embossed panel was adhered to the Pool Party card base.

Then I took 7 DSP strips – four 1/2″ strips and three 1″ strips, and overlapped them at angles over the twine. Each strip was attached using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The greeting was stamped using Strawberry Slush and then die cut using the almost round die.

Three Strawberry SLush Flat Pearls were added to the card front as embellishments.

Next week I have some projects to share with you using the Days Like This Memories & More Card Pack.

Until then, happy stamping and scrapbooking.

FUN FOLD FRIDAY – IT’S DEFINITELY A THING

Today I have a variation of a flip fold card. I was inspired by a card that I saw somewhere online and sadly I can’t find the name of the very creative person who shared their project.

I have used the Joyful Squares Bundle and Square Snippets DSP again for this project.

The All in a Row Embossing Folder added the wonderful texture to this card.

When the top flap is opened, a second smaller card is revealed.

Lift the flap of this card and then you have a great space for writing a message to the recipient.

The card front was decorated with an embossed panel, a piece of the DSP, a Cajun Craze square, a Secret Sea die cut frame, three die cut leaves, a die cut scalloped piece, a stamped piece of DSP and some Secret Sea Flat Pearls.

I am so happy with the way this card turned out. What do you think?

Tomorrow I will have an extra project to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping and scrapbooking.
