FUN FOLD FRIDAY – TIME FOR ANOTHER PROJECT

My Fun Fold card today was inspired by Jacque Williams. It is a Never Ending Card.

When I saw Jacque’s project I tried to remember the last time I had made a Never Ending Card. So I knew it was definitely time to make another one.

The front page features the DSP, Crushed Curry card and the All Zipped Up stamp set. I have also added star and heart die cut shapes.

The second page introduces another DSP design, Blueberry Bushel card and ink, star die cuts and stamped spot images.

The third page has another DSP and more die cut stars and a heart.

The fourth and final page also features a different DSP design, Basic White panels for recording a birthday greeting and a single star die cut.

Well, I haven’t made one project that looks like a jacket or cardigan this week. I am so pleased that I found other ways to use this bundle and I hope that inspires you to think ‘outside the box’.

I haven’t decided what to feature next week – but, give me a little time and I’m sure I will have something that you will like to see.

Until then, happy stamping and scrapbooking.

If you live in Australia, you can order any of the products I used to make this card by going to my online store. As you read through this post, you will see the products I used for this project. The new items are available from May 5th.

FAREWELL RETIRING IN COLOURS CI#186

I’m joining in this Colour INKspiration challenge a little late but am pleased to be sharing a waterfall card using all the retiring colours.

For this project I chose the Sweet Jar Bundle as the featured products.

I thought a waterfall card would be a great way to show off the retiring colours as well as a new product bundle.

I found a piece of Copper Clay Designer Series Paper, from the Take to the Sky DSP, to use for this project.

The waterfall panels are slightly larger than the ‘usual’ measurements so that the jars would have a reasonable margin around them.

The jars were stamped with the jelly bean and hearts images. I used stamped off Basic Beige to leave the image shapes. Then I coloured these images using the coordinating Stampin’ Blends.

Each of the stamped and coloured Basic White panels were mounted on a slightly larger panel of the retiring cardstock.

The waterfall mechanism was made from Pebbled Path cardstock.

I added a strip of the same DSP on the card insert and the back of the envelope.

Finally, I punched a small hole in the bottom of the mechanism and looped a length of coloured twine through the hole to assist with pulling the waterfall panels through.

Make sure to head over to our Facebook group and see what the crew has created – https://www.facebook.com/groups/349642308720075

I hope that you also create a project for this challenge and share it in the group.

The next Colour INKspiration Challenge will begin on May 14.

Until then, happy stamping and scrapbooking.

IT’S FRIDAY AND TIME FOR A FANTASTIC FUN FOLD

I shared part of this card on Tuesday as part of my technique share. Now I need to show you the rest of the card – the fun fold part of the card.

The technique I shared was all about using the rule of 3.

When the card is opened you discover that it is an easel card.

I used one of the new Glass & Gardens Embossing Folders to create the locking mechanism for the easel card.

When the card is fully opened you can see a Basic White panel for a personal message to be written. There is also a piece of DSP inside the card and on the envelope.

Next week I will have another new collection to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping and scrapbooking.
