ONE MORE STEP

Hello! I am so very pleased that you have popped by to see my latest side step card. I hope you like it.

Yes, this is my third side step card in three days. (I promise there won’t be another one tomorrow!!!)

I have featured the same products as yesterday – Best Chapter Stamp Set and Pattern Party Designer Series Paper. This DSP is only available to order if you have placed an order, or have hosted an event, that is at least $310 AUD in value. With that total, you earn STAMPIN’ REWARDS starting at 10% – so, a $310 order earns you $31, which is the cost of this 48 sheet DSP pack. If you want more information about Stampin’ Rewards contact me.

This was meant to be my first Facebook Live project. However, I was having challenges colouring directly onto the stamp using my Stampin’ Write Markers™. So, I did what many of us are doing during challenging times, I ‘pivoted’.

I chose a different sentiment from the set and used Classic Stampin’ Pads in Granny Apple Green and Misty Moonlight instead of the Markers.

Just like yesterday’s card, I cut and adhered the strips of DSP to the card front. For this card, I needed to mindful of the colour sequence of each line – all three panels were cut 1″ longer than needed; the two 7/8″ strips were trimmed back 1″ from the top and the centre panel was trimmed back 1″ from the bottom. This is the same technique that I used for the Christmas in July card from Wednesday.

The sentiment was cut with a different shape from the Tasteful Labels Dies. I fussy cut the ‘Chapter’ and ‘Happy Housewarming’ elements and popped them up using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I wrapped a length of Misty Moonlight Ribbon around the bottom section of the card front and tied it in place. Strips of the DSP were adhered to the card insert and envelope. My final touch was to use the Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blend to colour three Opal Rounds. They look awesome on the sentiment panel.

I think it is great to see some of the products used in various projects. These are the majority that I used for today’s card. I have realised that I need to order some more of Misty Moonlight Ribbon – I onlt have about 4″ left and none in my standby drawer.

Do you know someone who is about to move into a new home? Would they like a ‘Happy Housewarming’ card from you?

Happy stamping.

SOME MORE SIDE STEPS

Hello and welcome! I am delighted that you have decided to pop by and see my latest project.

Yesterday I shared a Christmas in July card for the Freshly Brewed Project blog hop that I participate in. It was a simple side step card and it has inspired me to make another one – or, two.

I made today, and tomorrow’s, card during my Facebook Live this week. The featured products were the Best Chapter Stamp Set and Pattern Party 12″x 12″ Designer Series Paper.

This is quite a simple card, made up of the side step structure, that showcases the DSP and a colourful die cut sentiment.

The first step was to cut and adhere the Designer Series Paper to the three panels, as you can see. Then I added the ribbon elements to the bottom section.

Once that was done, I used my Stamparatus to stamp the sentiment using five coordinating colours – using Stampin’ Write Markers™. The beauty of the Stamparatus is that I can add more ink to a section if it doesn’t stamp strongly the first time. I cut the sentiment using one of the Tasteful Labels Dies. The word ‘strong’ was first stamped in Crushed Curry and it just didn’t work. I decided to restamp it in Misty Moonlight and trim it down before popping it over the original using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the ‘You’ve Got This’ message on the card insert and placed a strip of DSP onto the front of the envelope. To finish the card front I added some Opal Rounds.

I am looking forward to sharing the next card tomorrow – I think it will show you just how versatile this stamp set is going to be.

Who do you know who is “strong, brilliant and beautiful” that you could send this card to?

Happy stamping.
