A RETURN TO MY 3D THURSDAY PROJECT SHARE

I have to admit that I thoroughly enjoy creating 3D projects – some are quite basic and others can be more complex. Either way, I see them as a great way to keep my 60+ year old brain active.

Today I have a simple tissue box to show you.

After taking the measurements of the tissue packet, I planned out my template and then thought about how to create the tissue opening – and, I found the perfect dies to do this!

As you can see, I have used some Granny Apple Green card for the box. After cutting and scoring the card, following my template and measurements, I used one of the Ouch Dies to cut the tissue opening.

Aftering carefully cutting the Valley in Bloom Designer Series Paper I attached it to each of the longer panels. I always try to have the design of the paper pieces match as they wrap around a box.

To reinforce the tissue opening I used both of the Ouch Dies (in the first image) to create a Granny Apple Green card border.

I left the top of the box unglued so that I could replace the tissues as needed. To secure the flaps, I wrapped some white baker’s twine around the box and ties a bow.

Finally, I stamped a sentiment and attached it to secure the twine.

I am so happy with the way this tissue box turned out.

Tomorrow I have a Fun Fold card to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping and memory keeping.
