AN EXTRA POST THIS WEEK

I used the same suite of products to make an extra project this week.

My daughter asked me to make a birthday card for her partner’s mum. I’m always happy to create a card for a specific person.

After showing her some of the designs from the Painterly Pears DSP pack, she chose the one I used for this card.

It is a super simple card but so gorgeous because of the paper design and colours.

I used an Old Olive card base and then a panel of Petal Pink card as a layer for the DSP.

Before adding the stamped and punched greeting, I added two this card layers as alternative to using lengths of ribbon.

The greeting, from the Encircled in Love Stamp Set, was stamped then coloured using the Light Petal Pink Stampin’ Blend Pen.

The greeting was punched out with the 1 3/4″ circle punch and then added to a 1 7/8″ Petal Pink circle.

I stamped and coloured the same image onto the back of the envelope.

I stamped the birthday wishes greeting inside the card.

Mission accomplished – my daughter is very happy with the card I made.

Next week I will have some more projects to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping and scrapbooking.

FUN FOLD FRIDAY HAS ARRIVED

Hello and welcome to my Fun Fold Friday share.

Today I have two Triangle Fold Intersecting Cards to show you. The only difference between them is the DSP designs I have chosen from the Painterly Pears Designer Series Paper and ribbons that coordinates with them.

I love these new pears inspired paper designs. There are 12 different designs in each pack – 2 each of 6 double-sided papers.

Aren’t they stunning?

Both card bases are Secret Sea, one of my new favourite colours.

Then I cut triangular panels from card to add the DSP triangles to.

Before adhering the triangular layers to the card base, I secured two lengths of the chosen ribbons so that I could create a bow closure on the card front.

I added more of the DSP patterns to the card insert and the back of the envelope.

Tomorrow I have a bonus project to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping and scrapbooking.

COLOUR inkSPIRATION CHALLENGE #190

It has been a while since I joined in the Colour INKspiration Challenges but I have made it back – albeit a day late!

This Challenge #190 runs from Wednesday 25 June to Monday 7 July.  Fellow Crew member, Nikki Spencer chose the photo for this Challenge which inspired our analogous colour scheme.

This time we are joined by the lovely Yvonne Spikmans Van-Bruggan from The Creative Teacup, as our Guest Designer.

For this card I combined several products – Mini Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder and the stamp sets Charming Day, Elements of Text and The Right Words.

It was wonderful to combine all the stamped images and the texture from the embossing folder and distressed edges.

I do love a card with layered elements!

The floral image was stamped on the card insert and the back of the envelope.

If you are feeling INKspired , I hope you decide to join the challenge!

Iust reminder to use ALL the Challenge colours unless stated. If you don’t have the colours in our palette, feel free to use the closest Stampin’ Up! substitute – Pecan Pie instead of Cajun Craze for example. We also allow Ivory, Bronze and Natural Tones in the Stampin’ Blends and Neutrals such as Basic White, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Basic Beige and Metallics.

Make sure you check out the other projects I have created this week.

Happy stamping and scrapbooking.
