INTERNATIONAL BLOG HOP

If you have ever struggled to come up with an idea for a THANK YOU CARD, then I hope that you are dropping in on Kylie Bertucci’s International Blog Highlights.

The theme, every month, is THANK YOU.

This International Blog Facebook page, is about reminding us that many people these days forget those two simple words – thank you. #bringingthankyouback

The card I have made, for December, was inspired by my experience at the Dockside Markets on the weekend. I had a customer who wanted to buy more masculine thank you cards than I had in my collection. I have such a huge range of thank you cards that are perfect for women but so few for men. This card begins to address this issue. (Also on the list – more newborn, wedding and congratulations cards.

I hope that you pop over, take a look at everyone’s creative entries and VOTE for my card! Just click on the link below.

I stamped my own background paper, using the PATTERN PLAY STAMP SET, in Misty Moonlight and Cinnamon Cider.

This stamped piece measured 3 1/4″x 4 7/8″ and was cut diagonally, before it was split apart.

The thank you greeting is from the BEST YEAR STAMP SET. Two were stamped in Misty Moonlight and the other in Cinnamon Cider. My go-to dies, STITCHED RECTANGLES DIES, were used to cut around each sentiment.

Without being too blingy, A few of the 2020-2022 IN COLOUR ENAMEL DOTS were added.

THANK YOU for popping by … happy stamping.

These are the products I used to make this card. If you live in Australia, You can order any of them through me.

WHAT HAVE I BEEN DOING?

My last post was on Thursday but I have been mighty busy.

I spent Friday gathering together all my projects ready for the Dockside Markets that I had a stall at. Friday afternoon, I was able to bump in – erect my marque and get the tables set up. My eldest daughter was there to help me.

Saturday morning, I was up at 4.45am and arrived at the markets at 5.30 to finish setting up. My youngest daughter arrived at 6am, with her partner, to help me.

I am so lucky to have two helpful and supportive daughters.

And, we were open for business at 7!

I was so happy with how the stall looked – all white with flecks of gold. The butler’s trays at the front were perfect.

There a whole table dedicated to Christmas, with lots of Secret Santa goodies.

There were lots of other cards, gift bags and boxes.

The bags were a great way to use up retired DSP. The desktop calendars and post it note ‘cards’ are another.

The days were hot and steamy but successful

The next market will be Dockside Twilight Markets at Kangaroo Point in the 17th December from 4pm – 51 Darragh St. If you live in Brisbane, I hope that you pop by and say hello.

Happy stamping!

MASKING & BLENDING

I had the BIRDS AND BRANCHES STAMP SET and DIES on my list of products to use this week.

At the beginning of each week I write a list of all the products and projects I want to use and create. It also has all my other Stamin’ Time tasks I want to achieve.

As I looked at the dies, I imagined how I could make a mask and use the new BLENDING BRUSHES to create a sunset image.

The die is reasonably intricate but I was able to achieve the crisp edges of the colouring by using some masking sheets (not a Stampin’ Up!® product, unfortunately).

I used Crushed Curry, Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie.

The branch was cut from a piece of Whisper White cardstock that was popped up onto a piece of FOAM ADHESIVE SHEET. Then I used some of my STAMPIN’ BLENDS to colour it – Mango Melody, Mossy Meadow and Soft Suede. The four circles then had some SHIMMERY CRYSTAL EFFECTS added.

The sentiment is from the BLOOM AND GROW STAMP SET.

The Whisper White card insert was die cut, as was a piece of Pumpkin Pie card for the front of the envelope.

I’m looking forward to use the BLENDING BRUSHES more and developing my techniques when blending.

Thanks for popping by … happy stamping.

These are the products I used to make this card – the new BLENDING BRUSHES are not available until the January to June Mini Catalogue goes live to customers. They come in pack of three for $21, before postage.

If you live in Australia, I would be happy to help you place an order for any of them through me.
