THINKING OF YOU

Hello and thank you for popping by! I hope that you like what see and continue to visit me.

Today I am still featuring the TRANQUIL THOUGHTS BUNDLE and have a large slimline card to share.

I had an idea floating around in my mind – I wanted to have a Basic White panel that I could cut one of the square leaf dies three times, rotating it as I went. This idea reminds me of tryptich art works, a bit like this example I found.

After the three dies were cut, I added some Granny Apple Green using a BLENDING BRUSH and then painted FROST WHITE SHIMMER PAINT over the leaves as well.

The SHIMMER PAINT leaves such a stunning effect.

I stamped the sentiments in Crumb Cake and cut them down using my stampin’ Trimmer. I almost always use dimensionals to pop my greetings up on. Finally, I added some ELEGANT FACETED GEMS in each space.

Using Crumb Cake again, I stamped one of the leaves on the inside white panel and on the envelope.

TRANQUIL THOUGHTS

Hello and welcome. Thanks for popping by to see my latest project. I would love to know what you think – I hope you leave a comment.

Today’s project is a 3D one – a fold flat gift box.

I used the TRANQUIL THOUGHTS BUNDLE and focussed on the dies.

TRANQUIL THOUGHTS BUNDLE
The two dies, in the bottom right hand corner, were used to cut Basic White panels for each side of teh box.

Once the panels were cut, I used a BLENDING BRUSH to add some Granny Apple Green ink. Then I used a BLENDER PEN and some Versamark refill to draw the Versamark onto selected areas of the leaves. I sprinkled some HEAT & STICK POWDER and heated it so that I could add some GILDED LEAFING.

A shet of 12″x 12″ Granny Apple Green was used to cut and score the box. There are instructions below.

The sentiment and leaf are in the TRANQUIL THOUGHTS STAMP SET. I think the Granny Apple Green stamped onto Basic White is really crisp and refreshing.

I kept the top of the box relatively simple – a square cut sentimet panel, a single die cut leaf and a white twine bow.

This style of box is a great one to make becasue once it’s made you can fold it flat to minimise the amount of space needed to store it. And, it doesn’t need very much adhesive – just some Stampin’ Seal + along the tab on the far right.

I hope that you have a chance to try this project. Let me know what you think.

Happy stamping.

KEY HOLE SAND DOLLAR CARD

Hello to each of you. I’m so pleased that you have taken the time to pop by.

Today I want to share a second card using the SAND & SEA SUITE.

When I saw the stamps and DSP, I went into research mode to discover the names of the shells featured. The ‘shell’ I’ve featured for today’s project is a key hole sand dollar.

I chose this piece of SAND & SEA DESIGNER SERIES PAPER design because I like the motled light pink and white toned background with the overlapping shells in two toned Flirty Flamingo and White.

I used my STAMPARATUS to stamp the shell onto Flirty Flamingo card stock. Two of them were stamped using Flirty Flamingo and Basic Gray. I cleaned the stamp and then used Versamark and Clear Stampin’ Embossing Powder so that I could heat it and create a shiny finish. The third one used Versamark and White Stampin’ Embossing Powder. The image was also stamped on the inside of the card and on the envelope.

The greeting is from the FRIENDS ARE LIKE SEASHELLS STAMP SET. I used the POTTED SUCCULENTS DIES to cut the sentiment.

For the final touches of bling, I brushed some CLEAR WINK OF STELLA across the shells and added some ELEGANTED FACETED GEMS.

This is a beautiful birthday card and I look forward to sending it to a friend later in the year. #makeacardsendacard
