SOMETHING A LITTLE SIMPLER

Hello – I’m so pleased that you have popped by for this project share.

I wanted to use the TRANQUIL THOUGHTS BUNDLE again but using a different colour palette to the projects I have shared over the past few days. And, a card that is a little simpler.

I chose Pretty Peacock as the main colour and a sheet of paper from the FINE ART FLORAL DESIGNER SERIES PAPER to cut the corner leaves die. The brushstroke style of this piece of DSP adds wonderful colour variation to the front of the card.

I don’t think that you can ever have too many Thank You cards on hand. I stamped the sentiment on Pretty Peacock and cut it out using one of the oval STITICHED SHAPES DIES. For a backing piece, I used a larger oval to cut a pice of vellum.

The Coastal Cabana ribbon is from the PLAYING WITH PATTERNS RIBBON COMBO PACK.

The finishing touch was to place a few FROSTED CLEAR EPOXY DROPLETS on the card front.

And, you know me – no naked card insert or envelope.

Definitely a pretty card.

Happy stamping.

MAKE YOUR OWN DESIGNER SERIES PAPER

Hello – welcome! Thank you for popping by. I hope that you like today’s Blog Hop project.

It’s Wednesday – so it’s time for a FRESHLY BREWED PROJECTS BLOG HOP. This week’s theme is SALE-A-BRATION STAMP SETS.

May be an image of coffee cup and text that says 'Freshly Brewed PROJECTS'

The stamp set I chose to use is the BERRY BLESSINGS STAMP SET. It is a set that comes bundled with the BERRY DELIGHTFUL DESIGNER SERIES PAPER. You can still get this bundle for FREE when you place a $180 order (before postage) but BE QUICK, you only have four more days before Sale-a-bration is over.

BERRY BLESSINGS BUNDLE (ENGLISH)

For this card I wanted to use the blueberry stamps to create my own DSP. Photopolymer stamps are perfect for this because it is so easy to align the images.

I used Pacific Point and Granny Apple Green. For the infill colour, I stamped off once to lighten the tone.

Now I must cinfess that I have been super cheeky. I was inspired to use these colours because of another group I submit my projects to:

After I stamped the greeting, I used one of the dies from the SNAIL DIES to cut it out. I adhered the greeting piece under a panel of my stamped before placing it over another panel from the DSP.

To finish the inside of the card and envelope, I stamped the blueberries image.

I added a few of the HOLIDAY RHINESTONE BASIC JEWELS to give this card a bit of bling.

Make sure that you visit the other Freshly Brewed Projects:

We would all appreciate you leaving us comments on our projects.

Happy stamping.

SHIMMERING LEAVES

Hello and welcome to my latest post. I appreciate you popping by.

I have made another card using the TRANQUIL THOUGHTS BUNDLE, using a colour palette similar to the last two projects I shared.

This time, I chose the corner die from the set. I cut two corner pieces in Basic White so that could colour them and use them as a frame for the sentiment. Dimensionals were used to lift the leaves frame up off the card base.

One of the features of this die set is that three of them both cut and emboss the card stock.

I stamped one of the leaves, in Crumb Cake, across the front of the card base.

The colours I used were Calypso Coral, Crumb Cake and Granny Apple Green. I used a Blending Brush to colour the leaves before applying Frost White Shimmer Paint over one of the corner pieces.

The greeting is stamped usng Crumb Cake and cut using a die from the STITCHED SO SWEETLY DIES.

I love using LINEN THREAD to create a bow from mulitple lengths of thread. After I attached the bow to the card front, I added a few ELEGANT FACETED GEMS.

Not all the leaves were adhered – I wanted to be able to curl some of them up to create more ‘texture’ to the card.

I am so pleased with the way this card turned out. What do you think? Let me know.

Happy stamping.
