ANOTHER BABY PROJECT

Hello – thank you for popping by. Today I have another baby card to share.

I made this card during my Facebook Live on Wednesday.

I had planned to make a coordinating gift box but time ran away from me. So, after the Live, I made it afterwards.

I used a piece of Mint Macaron card stock measuring 12″x 10-1/2″. Along the shorter edge, I scored at 2-1/2″, 5″, 7-1/2″ and 10″. Initially I thought each side would measure 2″ but I needed it to be wider to fit the Baby Pull Toy images on the front. So instead of using one of the tag punch, I used the Detailed Trio Punch to round off the corners and the Label Me Fancy Punch to punch the slot for the Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon.

The box is 9-1/2″ tall and there are lots of possible gifts to pop inside the box. What would you put inside?

Happy stamping.

ONLY FOR THOSE WITH GREEN FINGERS

Hello! How has your crafting week been so far? Thank you for popping by to see today’s project and I hope that it inspires you.

I wanted to make a 3D project using the Hey Birthday Chick Bundle.

I used Shimmery White card stock to water colour the belly band background. Balmy Blue for the sku, Granny Apple Green for the grass and Soft Suede for the soil. The Water Painters make water colouring so easy. While the ink was drying, I started the die cutting – the chicken coop/barn, the wire fence, the corn stalks and the ears of corn.

This is such a fun project to give to someone who enjoys gardening and growing their own vegetables. I thought the greeting was fun to use – if I give this to someone who likes growing their own food because I would tell them ‘you can do this’ because I know that I can’t. The sentiment is from the Forever Fern Stamp Set.

Then it was time to assemble. Using Adhesive Sheets behind the Basic Gray card stock makes securing the wire fences to the front of the band. The Acetate Card Boxes are a prefect size for the two packets of corn seeds I placed inside.

TIP: when I am forming the acetate box, I place a mini glue dot on each small flap that make up part of the bottom of the box. This secures the bottom of the box and stops the bottom flap opening.

Who would you send this green thumb gift to? I think I will send this to a demonstrator I know who does grow her own vegetables.

Happy stamping.

OH, BABY!

Hello and welcome to another Wednesday Freshly Brewed Projects Blog Hop. Thank you for joining me, and the other wonderful Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators taking part.

This week’s theme is Oh, Baby – so we will be sharing ideas for baby cards.

For this weekly hop, I decided to use the Baby Pull Toys Stamp Set. It seemed to be the perfect stamp set to use to make a sideways waterfall card, so that the toys can be pulled along.

The first thing I did was to prepare the waterfall mechanism. Then I stamped, coloured and die cut the images and sentiment.

I assembled the waterfall component of the card then I cut two 2″ strips of Balmy Blue card stock and used the Scalloped Tag Topper punch to create the pull tag. I added some star images and tied some Whisper White 1/4″ Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon through the end of the tag.

For the front of the card, I used a Blending Brush and one of the Basic Pattern Decorative Masks to create the polka dot design on the card stock.

Now, I couldn’t just make a blue card – so, here’s a pink one.

Same process, just some colour changes. If you would like to see how I made these cards, click on the image below and you can watch today’s Facebook Live. I make a third card, in Mint Macaron.

I think that I will make another one, during my Facebook Live, using either So Saffron or Mint Macaron. That way I will have three options available – baby boy, baby girl or baby gender yet to be revealed.

I can’t wait to see what the other blog hoppers have created. Make sure you pop across to see what the others have created:

There are two new stamp sets in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue that are perfect for baby cards. I can’t wait to share them with you.

So until then, happy stamping.
