CHRISTMAS CONIFERS

Hello and welcome. I am so pleased that you have popped by today. Make sure that you leave a comment to let me know where you’re from.

Today I have another Christmas card to share with you.

I started this card by choosing Designer Series Paper first. The Peaceful Place 12″x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper is a stunning collection of monochromatic and silver Christmas designs.

PEACEFUL PLACE 12" X 12" (30.5 X 30.5 CM) SPECIALTY DESIGNER SERIES PAPER

I chose two of the geometric designs because I wanted to use the Evergreen Forest 3D embossing folder and Evergreen Border Punch to add the conifers to my card.

I embossed a strip of the checked DSP and a panel of Basic Gray cardstock. The checked strip was then positioned to align with the trees on the base layer. Before I attached this to the card base I wrapped and secured a length of Smoky Slate Textured Ribbon around it.

The Christmas greeting, from the Holly Jolly Wishes Stamp Set, was stamped directly onto the second piece of DSP. To make sure this stamped piece would not buckle when it was popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals, I adhered a slightly smaller piece of Smoky Slate card behind it.

Using Basic Gray, Mossy Meadow and Smoky Slate I punched several rows of trees and layered them together. After the trees were added to the front of the card, I chose one of the cabins from the same DSP bundle, fussy cut it and placed it in front of the trees. I also added trees to the card insert and envelope.

I like the way there is a small hint of colour, from the Mossy Meadow trees, just peeking out from behind the gray.

After a light brush of Clear Wink of Stella across the tree tops and roof, I placed some Silver Metallic Pearls to finish the card.

I’m rather pleased with the way this card looks. What do you think?

Until next time, happy stamping.

TIME FOR SOME FUN

Hello crafty friends. Welcome to today’s project share. I am so pleased that you’re visiting my post.

I wanted to use my Give It a Whirl Dies again because I’ve only used it once so far. One of my goals for the rest of the year is to work my way through all of my Stampin’ Up!® goodies that I have only used once.

For this project I decided to use the Brew Some Fun Stamp Set and Pattern Play Designer Series Paper.

I wanted to use smaller images and stamp them several times to fill the spaces on the spinning card piece. The tea bag cup, party hats and flowers stamps were the perfect size to do this. After they were stamped I coloured them using Stampin’ Write Markers™. Let’s take a spin and I’ll show you the other two segments.

I used the same die, that cut the viewing space, to cut two pieces of the DSP. These were then posiotined to create the segmented circle.

To assemble the card I added a layer of striped DSP to the base. Then I used a brad to hold the spinning mechanism in position under the Misty Moonlight front panel.

I stamped the greeting in Misty Moonlight onto a small piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock. Then I used the scalloped die to cut the circle that I could place inside the Bumblebee scalloped frame.

More scalloped frames, in coordinating colours, were cut and adhered to the card front, card insert and envelope.

It was fun to make another spinning card. Now I’ll need to think of some other card ideas for this set of dies.

What do you think? Who would you like to brew up some fun with?

Until next time, happy stamping.

A PAWFECT CHRISTMAS CARD

Hello! Thanks for popping by.

Today I have a Christmas card to share with you. It features the Sweet Stockings Suite.

SWEET STOCKINGS SUITE COLLECTION (ENGLISH)

The Suite consists of the Sweet Little Stockings Stamp Set, Stockings Dies, Jolly Felt, Matte Decorative Dots, Pool Party 3/8″ Striped Ribbon and Sweet Stockings 12″x 12″ Designer Series Paper. The ribbon was the only product that I didn’t use in this project.

Sorry that this photo is a bit blurry.

I wanted to make each of the three sizes of stockings using the Jolly Felt. So, that was my first step. As you can see, I added the white felt trims and some holly to each of the stockings. For the stocking fillers I stamped, coloured and fussy cut the two gifts and puppy. As soon as the gifts were adhered to the stockings, I mounted them on the three Basic White and Old Olive panels.

Phew .. a much better photo!

A half inch strip of Bumblebee and Old Olive cardstock was cut and I used the Tailored Tag punch to create the banner end on each of them. These were adhered to the Designer Series Paper panel which was then positioned on the card front.

The three stocking panels were also posiitoned and secured onto the card.

I stamped the greeting in Cherry Cobbler before trimming it and popping it on the card, using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The small gift box was stamped on the card insert and envelope. Then I attached a few of the Matte Decorative Dots to the card.

This card is PAWfect for my brother this Christmas – now that he has a second puppy in the family. I hope that he’s going to like it.

Are you a #cat or #dog person?

Until next time, happy stamping.
