BACK ON YOUR FEET

The Back on Your Feet Stamp Set is one of the sets that is on my list of unused products that I need to make sure I use before the end of the year, and before the new Mini Catalogue is released.

This set is so cute and the images would cheer anyone who is feeling unwell or injured.

I started by choosing the colours for the card base and layers. The top layer, in Smoky Slate, has texture added by using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. All these layers were thenadhered together and added to the card base.

The image of this poor injured sloth is cute yet sad. I stamped it and then coloured it using Stampin’ Blends. Then it was cut using one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies. When the ink was dry, I brushed some Clear Wink of Stella over the image.

The ‘ouch’ was stamped and trimmed down to size and the other sentiment were stamped and cut using the same die.

Before adding these Basic White layers to the card front, I took one of the Paper Lattice pieces and colout it using the Dark Basic Black Stampin’ Blend. The lattice was glued in place and Stampin’ Dimensionals were added to the back of the white panels to pop them up.

The sloth was stamped on the envelope and the ‘ouch’ stamped inside the card.

The final touch was to add some Matte Black Dots to the front of the card.

I was so pleased with the result of colouring the lattice. There are so many possibilities for the lattice.

I have two more cards using this stamp set to share with you later in the week.

Until next time, happy stamping.

HELLO, LITTLE ONE

The All for Baby Bundle is so cute!

The ‘Hello, Little One’ greeting is perfect for a card to welcome a newborn.

For this card I used the same Brights colours as I used for yesterday’s card.

The Brights 6″x 6″ DSP was perfect for the base layer on the Basic White card base, as well as two of the jumpsuits.

The other three jumpsuits were stamped and die cut.

I stamped the clothesline image in Soft Suede on a Basic White layer. The two DSP jumpsuits were glued straight onto the stamped layer and the stamped and die cut jumpsuits were popped up using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

After placing some Adhesive Sheet to a piece of Soft Suede card, I cut out 10 of the pegs to finish the image.

The greeting was stamped in Daffodil Delight and trimmed down to size before dimensionals were added to the back.

I stamped the bib on the inside of the card and envelope.

I really prefer bright colours, rather than pastel, for baby cards. What do you prefer?

Phew – that’s one more stamp set and dies that I have made sure I have used before the end of the year. I set myself the goal of using all the stamp sets I have, at least once, before the end of the year. I only have seven more to focus on and tomorrow I will share the first of three Back on Your Feet Stamp Set projects that I have made.

Until then happy stamping.

WELCOMING NEW ARRIVALS

As I make sure that I have used every stamp set that sits on my shelf before the new January – June Mini Catalogue is available, I have made a couple of colourful cards using the All for Baby Stamp Set and Baby Clothes Dies.

I opted to use colours from the Brights family for today and tomorrow’s projects – Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo and Pacific Point.

For this card I chose the teddy bear image to stamp and die cut. I am always amazed by the way the distinktive stamps create such stunning and varied opacities in a single stamped image. This is such a clever development in the world of ink, stamps and paper.

I selected a piece of paper from the Brights 6″x 6″ Designer Series Paper Assortments to use as a background for the trio of bears. A slightly wider piece of Pacific Point card stock was used underneath the Daffodil Delight DSP to frame it.

The bears were popped up using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The greeting was stamped directly onto the Basic White card base.

This is a sweet yet simple card with a strip of the DSP also added inside the card and on the envelope.

I enjoy making cards that use just a few products and techniques and are quick to make.

Tomorrow I will share a second card using the same bundle.

Until then, happy stamping.
