FINALLY I HAVE A CARD TO SHARE WITH YOU

As I mentioned yesterday I have been working on a special project and that is why I haven’t done my usual weekly posts.

I did have a card that I haven’t posted yet – so I do have something to share today.

I recently attended a crafting get together and made 15 swap cards.

Let me know what you think – do you like it?

For this shaker card I used the 1 7/8″ circle punch to create the space for a small circle shaker dome. Then I embossed the Lost Lagoon panel with the Dotted Circles 3D Embossing Folder.

I attached the dome to the card and filled it with Loose Shaker Elements. To secure the elements, I adhered a second Lost Lagoon panel and then added the card to a Basic White card base.

There was a slight gap between the dome and the card exposing some of the adhesive on the dome. This was perfect to hold the Lost Lagoon Soft Cording in place.

The greeting, from the Birthday Celebration Stamp Set, was stamped and die cut. The die is from the Nested Essentials Die set.

A few Stampin’ Dimensionals were used to pop the greeting up from the card front.

What have you been creating this week?

Next week I will have a full schedule of posts for you.

Until then, happy stamping.

IT IS THURSDAY & TIME FOR A 3D PROJECT

Last week, during the first Virtual Album Retreat that Stampin’ Up! hosted we created an explosion box for one of the page layouts.

I decided to create a Christmas Explosion 3D Card using the same measurements we used for the album page.

The explosion box was made using Old Olive card and used the tree design paper from the Weekend Adventures 12″x 12″ Designer Series Paper.

Then I added panels of Basic White card and a variety of designs from the DSP pack.

The card had several pockets added to allow for giftcards and photos.

I used one of the dies from the Party Banners Dies to cut some gold reinforcement circles to finish the 1/8″ circle I punched using one of the Hole Punch Assortment pack.

Then I used some retired ribbon to create a wrap and bow to hold the box closed.

I added a shaker card in the centre of the explosion box using Loose Gold Sequins.

For the bauble die cut and the greeting I used the Bauble Blooms Bundle. To finish the bauble I added a die cut gold hangtag.

Tomorrow I have a fun fold card to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping and scrapbooking.

TIME FOR SOME FRIDAY FUN

Friday is usually my funfold day but today it is just going to be a fun card.

I enjoy making shaker cards but first I have two super simple cards for you.

For all three cards today I have used Basic White card bases and Night of Navy panels.

The first navy panel was cut using the rainbow die and I placed one of the Boho Vibes DSP designs under the die cut panel.

The greeting was stamped in Cajun Craze and was cut using one of the Stylish Shapes Dies. Then the ‘darling’ was stamped in Night of Navy before being cut down and placed over the original ‘good’.

For the second card I used the rainbow outline die and used a different DSP design to place under it.

The greeting panel was achieved in the same way before it was placed on the card front.

Then I made the shaker card.

For this card I took the same DSP design but cut it into strips. Each strip was adhered to a Basic White panel with the design being realigned – make sure that you take a good look to see what I did.

After cutting the rainbow outline I secured a panel of window sheet behind it. Then I added Foam Adhesive Strips around the shape.

I filled the space with Loose Gold Sequins and adhered the card base to it.

This week has been fun featuring the Boho Vibes Suite Collection – and I only used two of the dies.

Next week is still in the decision making phase – you will have to wait until Monday to discover what products I will be featuring.

Until then, happy stamping and scrapbooking.
