TUESDAY TIPS & TECHNIQUES

I must be honest and say that this project probably better fits the ‘fun fold’ category but I’m sharing it today.

The main technique today is a card closure.

Who has never made a bellyband? I can’t imagine there are many of you who haven’t because we all know it is a simple way to hold our cards closed.

The card itself is a centre, gatefold card that uses this bellyband to keep it closed.

The card and band have been decorated using the Joyful Days Memories & More Cards.

When the card is opened you will find a shutter just like you would find in a camera apeture

TIP: Next time I would make sure that I made the shutter feature in the same colour as the card base so that it is not so obvious!

The card encased with its bellyband and the new products I used to make it.

The card front was embellished using the Traditional Sparkling Sequins (165875 $14AU)

Finally, I tied a triple bow using the new Old Olive Linen Thread.

Tomorrow I will have another card to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping and scrapbooking.

If you live in Australia, you can order any of the products I used to make this card by going to my online store. As you read through this post, you will see the products I used for this project. The new items are available from September 3rd.

MISSED MONDAY’S MEMORY KEEPING BUT HERE IT IS NOW

My memory keeping project was ready to be shared yesterday but life intervened. So here it is now!

This week I am featuring three new products, from the September – December 2025 Mini Catalogue, available from TOMORROW September 3rd.

JOYFUL DAYS MEMORIES & MORE CARD PACK (165822 $20.25AUD)

GREETINGS FOR YOU MIX & MATCH EPHEMERA PACK (166208 $15AUD)

CHRISTMAS GREETINGS MIX & MATCH SPECIALTY CARDS & ENVELOPES

Being Monday, my project is a scrapbooking layout.

The base is a Real Red Two-tone card and I used some of the Memories & More Cards, Flip Flaps and two of the Nested Essentials Dies to create the journaling space.

After attaching all of the cards to the base I wrapped a length of Old Olive Linen Thread around the paper and tied a bow. The thread is from the new Early Espresso & Old Olive Linen Thread (165986 $15.75).

Finally I added the ‘Happy Christmas’ and ‘joy’ from the Greetings for You Ephemera Pack to the page.

This is a simple layout but will e a great way to keep some Christmas memories alive.

Tomorrow I have a card to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping and scrapbooking.

TUESDAY IS ALL ABOUT TIPS & TECHNIQUES

Today I have a diorama card to share with you.

This technique is a great way to use the landscape and treeline dies in the set.

The card uses a concertinaed frame that is set inside the book-style card.

One of the cards in the September – December 2025 Mini Catalogue was the inspiration for this project.

This 6 1/2″x 4 1/2″ card has a 1/2″ spine and a 1″ wide frame on the card front.

The slightly smaller concertinaed frame was then adhered behind the card front.

Each of the background landscape and treeline elements were then die cut.

The treeline pieces were then glued into the concertina frame.

Then the landscape background was layered and adhered to a piece of card. The background was then adhered to the concertina frame and then the back page of the card.

The sentiment was stamped onto a 1″ strip of Basic White card and adhered to the card front.

TIP: Use a blending brush to add some colour to the folded concertinaed edges inside the frame.

I finished the card by adding some of the Frosted Iridescent Dots to the landscape background.

Tomorrow I will have of the latest news from Stampin’ Up! and another project to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping and scrapbooking.
