WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY UPDATES & CARD PROJECT

So, what’s new with Stampin’ Up!?

Get Notified When Products Are Back in Stock!

One request Stampin’ Up! often hears is, “Can I get notified when an unavailable item comes back in stock?” We are excited to announce that in the next week or so, you will be able to do just that!
If a product is currently unavailable, a box will appear above the product detail where you can request an email notification when/if the product returns. This feature will be available to demonstrators, customers, and guests. If you are logged in as a demonstrator or customer, your email address will automatically populate, with the option to edit it if needed. Guests will need to enter their email address manually.
After your preferred email address is entered, check the box to agree to receive the notification email, then click Notify Me. You will then receive a confirmation email that includes the item number and name of the product you signed up to be notified about. If you change your mind, you can click the unsubscribe button in the confirmation email and it will unsubscribe you only from that specific product notification.
When/if the product becomes available, you will receive a single email notifying you it’s back in stock. The email will include the item number, name, and an image of the product. If the product sells out again, you will need to sign up again to be notified when/if it returns.
We hope this new feature makes shopping even more convenient for you and your customers!

This is such a simple yet very customer friendly upgrade!

Today’s card features some dry embossing, distressed card edges, blending brush colouring and strips of Designer Series Paper.

I started with a Daffodil Delight card base. Then i added texture to a Basic White panel using the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder.

After embossing the white card, I lightly used a Blending Brush to add some Daffodil Delight ink to it. Next, I used my Paper Snips to distress the outer edges of the card.

Then I added three strips of floral Designer Series Paper directly on to the embossed layer.

I took a length of the Mossy Meadow & Gold Trim and tied it around the embossed card – no bow, just a knot.

Then I added two checked DSP designs – one in Daffodil Delight and one Secret Sea.

Both the card insert and the back of the envelope had some of the checked Daffodil Delight DSP adhered to them.

I used another new product, the Encircled with Love Stamp Set, to stamp the ‘with love’ greeting. It was punched using the 1 3/4″ circle punch.

Finallt, I added some Daffodil Delight dots from the Muted Palette Dots pack.

Tomorrow, I have a gorgeous 3D gift box to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping and scrapbooking.

TUESDAY IS THE TIME FOR TIPS & TECHNIQUES WITH YOUR CARD MAKING EXPERIENCE

Today I have a card, featuring the soon-to-be-released Painterly Pears Suite Collection, and three great techniques to share with you.

The techniques are: DRY EMBOSSING, HEAT EMBOSSING and ALCOHOL INK COLOURING.

For this card I started with a Mossy Meadow landscape card base.

Then I DRY EMBOSSED a piece of Basic White card using the Mini Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder.

For the five pears and leaves, I stamped the images using Versamark and the clear embossing powder from the Basics WOW! Embossing Powder.

After HEAT EMBOSSING the images, I die cut the shapes.

I coloured each of the pears and leaves using Stampin’ Blends – ALCOHOL INK COLOURING.

I used several Stampin’ Blends to colour each of the pears and leaves – Daffodil Delight, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive and Real Red.

A length of Mossy Meadow & Gold Trim was wrapped around the corrugated white panel. Then, using Mini Glue Dots, I positioned the pears under and above the ribbon. Each of the leaves were then added at the top of each pear.

I took another length of the ribbon and cut it into strips – using the ‘Tammy technique’. These strips were then tied into a bow and secured to the front of the card.

The greeting was stamped and trimmed, with a banner end, before I added it to the card front.

Finally I added some Flower Accents to the card.

The card insert and back of the envelope each had the double pear image stamped.

Tomorrow I have another card project to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping and scrapbooking.

MONDAY MEANS THAT IT’S TIME TO KEEP MEMORIES ALIVE

This week I am featuring the Painterly Pears Suite Collection (166159). It is a soon-to-be released Online Exclusive.

Yesterday, MDB (my darling boy) and I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary.

I decided to make a memory decor item that I could add a photo of our day and place on our sideboard.

Ikea has two different sizes in their shadow frames … in both black and white. I always have some on hand just in case I have a decor project in mind.

I started with a 9 3/4″x 9 3/4″ piece of the Secret Sea checked DSP that I adhered to a piece of thick cardboard to ensure stability. Then I cut one of the designs from the Designer Series Paper to 8″x 8″ and glued it to the Secret Sea layer.

A 6 1/4″x 4 1/4″ Daffodil Delight panel, with a 6″x 4″ Basic White panel, was adhered to the DSP layer. This is the place that I will add a photo from our anniversary celebration.

I used the Alphabet A La Mode Dies and Secret Sea card to cut the title. The card stock had Adhesive Sheet on the back making it so much easier to position and secure the title.

Using the Perfectly Pears Dies, I cut one of the larger and pair of pears from one of the DSP sheets. Then I cut 8 of each of these shapes from Secret Sea card and layered them on top of each other to create the higher pear images. These were then adhered to the decor design.

Finally, I tied a bow using a length of Mossy Meadow and Gold Trim and secured it with a Mini Glue Dot.

For our anniversary we have two trips planned – one in October and another in February next year. So we decided not to exchange gifts on the day. I hope this decor memory project will ensure we remember the day.

Tomorrow I have a card showcasing a great colouring technique.

Until then, happy stamping and scrapbooking.
