3D THURSDAY IS MY FAVOURITE WAY TO SHARE MY GIFT BOX PROJECTS

Today I have a Christmas Explosion Box to share with you.

The box base measrues 4″x 4″x 4″ and the lid is 4 3/16″x 4 3/16″x 1 1/2″ and was made using Pecan Pie Two Tone card and A4 card.

I enjoy taking the time to carefully cut the DSP to ensure each of the 1 1/2″ sides match to the paper on top of the lid.

When the lid is removed the sides fall away to reveal an inner box holding Lindt chocolates wrapped in Christmas red foil.

Each of the outer sides have white panels, for Christmas messages, and are decorated with some of the pre-cut designs.

The inner box also had DSP panels added.

The box lid was topped off with a letter box, a Christmas greeting and some of the soon to be available Earthy Matte Dots.

Tomorrow I have a great fun fold card to sahre with you.

Until then, happy stamping and scrapbooking.

Today I have a slider card to share with you.

I used the hobby blade on my Take Your Pick Tool to cut the slit in the DSP.

The piece of Pecan Pie card was cut slightly wider than the slit and 3 1/2″ in length. I added one of the letter boxes to the end of this piece.

Before assembling the card, I stamped the greeting onto a piece of Basic White card. The greeting is from the Jolly Delivery Stamp Set.

I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the greeting leaving enough space for the slider.

I added more dimensionals to the back of the DSP panel and secured it to the Garden Green card base.

A length of Garden Green & White Chevron Ribbon was wrapped around the top fold of the card and a bow tied.

The card insert and envelope both had some of the pre-cut designs added.

Tomorrow is 3D Thursday, so I have a great box to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping and scrapbooking.

TUESDAY IS ALL ABOUT TIPS & TECHNIQUES IN CARD MAKING

It often seems a ‘waste’ to only use one side of the double-sided designer papers.

This simple technique allows you to show both sides.

You can choose anywhere on a DSP panel to cut a straight line and fold each side back to reveal the other side.

Cards that have the cut line starting in top or bottom corner also look great.

TIP: Use your bone folder to create a clean, sharp fold in the paper.

I really liked the way the Poppy Parade and Very Vanilla DSP coordinated with some of the envelopes on the other side of the DSP>

I used another one of the embossed and die cut greetings I created using the Christmas Words Collage Hybrid Embossing Folder.

The North Pole Delivery 12″x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper includes two sheets of precut designs. I used these to decorate the card.

The card insert and envelope were also decorated with the precut designs.

I added some of the Pecan Pie Earthy Matte Dots to the card front.

Tomorrow I will update you on the latest from Stampin’ Up! and also share another project.

Until then, happy stamping and scrapbooking.
