CASEing FOR GLOBAL DESIGN PROJECT #284

Hello and thank you being here. I am so pleased that you are popping by to see what my latest project is.

So, my new Friday posts will be a project from the Global Design Project’s weekly challenges.

This week, the challenge is to CASE a card by Krista Frattin, a talented GDP team member from Canada.

CASE = Copy And Selectively Edit

The tip we are given is that when you CASE a project, you can take what you like from the design and make it your own. It might be the stamp set – the colors, the layout, the theme, the images – whatever you like that has inspired you to make a card of your own.

I chose to go with the layout and definitely changed colours, stamp set and dies.

It was time to dust off my NOTHING’S BETTER THAN STAMP SET, LOVE YOU MORE THAN DIES and PAINTED LABELS DIES.

I’m not sure if the RAINBOW GLIMMER PAPER will carry over into the new 2021 – 2022 ANNUAL CATALOGUE, so I definitely want to use it up and I knew that it would be great for this card. Bright, bold and shimmery!

I decided to use the SUBTLES 6″x 6″ DSP – the new designs that will be in the upcoming 2021 – 2022 ANNUAL CATALOGUE. As a demonstrator, I was fortunate enough to order all four colour families and the 2020 -2022 In Colours DSP packs during Sale-a-bration. By using it here on this project, I hope that you will like the pattern well enough to add the new DSP to your collection.

I think that I am going to remove the bow – what do you think? I think it needs to be black or gone.

Happy stamping!

If you live in Australia, you can order any of the products I used to make this card by going to my online store. Just click on any of the images below.

ANOTHER SKETCH CHALLENGE CARD …

It has been raining today … a perfect opportunity to spend some time creating.

As well as working on projects for my catalogue launch event [19th June] I thought that would create another card for the Global Design Project sketch challenge …  #GDP038.

Make sure you click on the GDP sketch challenge image to see all the amazing cards that have been shared … a brilliant source of inspiration!

I wanted to play with some new products from the recently released Stampin’ Up! 2016-2017 Annual Catalogue

I have used all of the new 2016-2018 In Colours …. Dapper DenimEmerald EnvyFlirty FlamingoPeekaboo PeachSweet Sugarplum … and chose Dapper Denim and Peekaboo Peach as my cardstock elements.

It is not easy to see that the ribbon I have used is ruched … one of the new ribbons now available in the In Colour family.

I have also used two of the latest stamp sets found in the new catalogue … they are both photopolymer stamp sets … I love the way that I can be so accurate in positioning multiple stamps when I use the photopolymers!

The stamp sets used are PERFECTLY WRAPPED and THOUGHTFUL BANNERS.

GLOBAL DESIGN PROJECT #038 – SKETCH CHALLENGE

Like many of you, I have followed a variety of card design challenges for quite a while and been in awe of the amazing projects other Stampin’ Up! demonstrators create.

… and I thought it was time to ‘throw my hat into the ring’, so to speak.

So, here is the sketch challenge for #GDP038… and my creation …

I have been having so much fun playing with the Swirly Birds Stamp Set and love the new 2016 – 2018 In Colours – especially Dapper Denim [if you’re old enough and Australian, you might appreciate I avoided a Marty Rhone moment … no lace].
