Welcome to our latest Colour INKspiration challenge. The inspiration for this challenge was chosen by crew member Lou Kitzelman.

As well as the chosen colour combination for #CI150 (Pumpkin Pie, Calypso Coral, Sweet Sorbet, Old Olive and Pretty Peacock), you may also add Basic Black, Basic White, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, and metallics to your project. We also allow Ivory, Bronze and Natural Tones in Stampin’ Blends. If you don’t have the colours in our palette, feel free to use the closest Stampin’ Up! substitute.

To get your creative ideas flowing make sure you check out the Crew’s Projects in the CI#150 album.

My contribution features the Fun On Wheels Stamp Set, resist heat embossing and water colouring.

Using Fluid 100 Water Colour Paper, I stamped the two grid map images using Versamark and Clear Embossing Powder. After heat setting these images, I started to water colour this panel.

Then I repeated the process using the bicycle image. I finished water colouring and ensured the colours on the bicycle layer alighned with the base layer.

Before the bicycle layer was added to the base layer using Stampin’ Dimensionals, I coloured lengths of Very Vanilla twine using the Dark Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Blend Pen. I had run out of Basic White twine but the Very Vanilla took the colour just as well. The lengths were wrapped and secured before the final piece of twine was tied in a bow. I added a Mini Glue Dot behind the bow to hold it securely in place.

The bicycle panel was then popped up over the twine, aligning the water coloring.

I added some Pretty Peacock gems, from the Tinels Gems 4 Pack, for a little bit of bling.

The greeting was stamped and cut into indidivual words before being placed on the card front.

To finsh the card I stamped the bicycle on the card insert and envelope flap.

The colours in this challenge are just so gorgeous.

I’m not sure what card will be next, but until then – happy stamping.
