HAPPY ANNIVERSARY Colour INKspiration – 200 CHALLENGES!

Welcome to a very special challenge. We are celebrating our 200th challenge at Colour INKspiration! There are still many original Crew who started with our first challenge on January 11th, 2017. This amazing group was organised by the super creative Bronwyn Eastley. Past and present Crew members are amongst some of the nicest and most talented people you could ever meet. And we even have some of our past Crew joining in with us to celebrate so watch out for their projects in the Album and in posts. We hope that you enjoy following and joining in with us as much as we love designing for you. Here’s to another 200 challenges!

We also welcome Catherine Proctor as our Guest Designer.

This challenge is a little different. We are asking you to showcase your favourite Stampin’ Up! colour. It can be current or retired. It will be tricky to choose just one but we know you can do it!

As well you chosen colour for #CI200, you may also add Basic White, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Basic Beige, Basic Black and metallics to your project. We also allow ‘Ivory’, ‘Bronze’ and ‘Natural Tones’ in the Stampin’ Blends.

To get your creative ideas flowing, make sure you check out the Crew’s Project in the CI#200 Album.

Challenge guidelines:

· Create a NEW project made specifically for this challenge.

· Use only your 1 favourite Stampin’ Up! colour along with allowable neutrals.

· Upload only ONE picture per entry straight to the discussion wall and NOT in an album.

CI#200 will run for almost TWO weeks and will end at 7 pm (AEDT) on Monday December 8th.

We hope you can participate this round and look forward to seeing a variety of projects showcasing your favourite colours. Happy stamping.

It was so hard choosing a ‘favourite’ colour but I decided on Poppy Parade!

For this card I used some of the amazing products from the upcoming January – April 2026 Mini Catalogue – Made with Love Suite Collection and the Love Story Stamp Set.

I used the Designer Series Paper, Dies and Embossing Folder.

I chose the “I Adore You” greeting for this card.

After preparing the Poppy Parade card base, I created a layered element – a panel of the striped DSP, Basic White card and an embossed, sanded and frayed Poppy Parade Two-tone panel.

Before adding the embossed layer, I wrapped a length of Basic White Baker’s Twine around it and tied a bow.

This layered element was then adhered to the card front at an angle.

Using one of the heart shapes from the Endless Love Dies, I cut 6 of them from Poppy Parade and Basic White. After peeling back the Adhesive Sheet backing, I overlaid each of these hearts to create the feature on the card front.

After stamping the greeting, I used the Three Banner Punch to create the banner .

Finally, I added some of the Dear Dots to embellish the card front.

I stamped some of the small hearts inside the card and on the back of the envelope.

Thanks for popping by?

My youngest daughter recently told me that shw and a friend were teaching themselves to crochet.

For me, that brought back memories of Year 8 Home Economics and learning the same skill. I was totally useless at knitting but crochet was a better option.

I knew that I wanted to use the Cute Crochet 3D Embossing Folder to make a card for her.

I used the CI#184 Colour INKspiration colours for this project – Azure Afternoon, Daffodil Delight, Garden Green, Mossy Meadow and Poppy Parade. I cut each of these colours into 1.5″x 1.5″ squares and adhered them to a piece of Basic White Card.

Then I ran this card throught the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine using the Cute Crochet 3D Embossing Folder.

The greeting was created using the Mini Alphabet Die and Azure Afternoon card with Adhesive Sheet attached.

I used the Basic White Baker’s Twine and a small crochet hook to create a length of chain to tie a bow.

Finally, I added an individual embossed square to the card insert and envelope back.

TIME FOR THE LATEST COLOUR INKSPIRATION CHALLENGE

I love the gorgeous colourful old buildings that can be found in Scandanavian countries.

For this challenge I wanted to use the Happy Little Things Stamp Set.

I chose a Lost Lagoon card base and a Basic White panel for the stamping.

Confession – I used my now retired Stamparatus to stamp the ‘celebrate’ greeting. It’s just the best way to achieve perfect spacing.

The smaller greeting was stamped and then cut with one of the Happy Little Things Dies. I cut two more of these banners, in Lost Lagoon, and layered them under the greeting. After placing some Stampin’ Dimensionals behind the greeting, I positioned it at the bottom of the card front.

The small greeting was also stamped inside the card and on the envelope.

Finally, I added some Daffodil Delight Glossy Dots to the card front.

This project is posting on the same day we return home from our holiday, so I will be back in my craft room tomorrow and back to creating new projects to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping.
