It may not seem like I have been very excited about the new catalogue …. BUT I REALLY AM!

As a demonstrator, I am lucky enough to see the catalogue and order these amazing new products BEFORE today.

Unfortunately, I have not had much free time to create with what I have ordered [do not let my husband know …. because I have lots and lots of amazing new products from this catalogue now in my craft room … you’ll understand when you see what is in it!!]

This last month [and the few before it] my brother, sister and I have been spending time supporting our mum and trying to find her a permanent place in the same nursing home as her husband … and were fortunate enough this last week to achieve this goal. Just a few more things to do to make sure she is comfortable and has everything she needs.

SO … I am ready to start creating and posting …. there are already so many amazing ideas being posted online … you should check them out.

I JUST LOVE CATALOGUE LAUNCH EVENTS …

Well … the 2016-2017 Annual Catalogue Launch Event has come and gone … and it was a wonderful day to create a range of cards using many of the new products from the latest catalogue!

… and it was definitely an indoors-type of day … lots of rain and dreary looking outside … but inside was filled with lots of laughter from a wonderful group of eight lovely ladies, many of whom I have worked with and others I am fortunate to have come to know … all of whom I call friends …

On arrival, each of my guests were given their personalised

…’bag of tricks’ for the day – catalogue, eight project packs, a treasure hunt and a bonus activity sheet, wishlist and catalogue guide …

… and then it was time to start working through each card station … each table was set up to complete two of the projects.

… there was also a display table of some of the new products – DSP, punches, embellishments and ribbons, stamp sets … and a display stand with many of the new framelits/thinlits and some samples …

There was even a mini PRODUCT PLAYGROUND for the Popcorn Box … an extra project for anyone who was interested.

Have I told you that I had an awesome day too …

especially with all the goodies giveaways drawn during the day – washi strip under the Stampin’ Up! logo on the grid paper sheet, raffle ticket draw – tickets given out when projects completed-prodcut names used-helping others … treasure hunt and bonus prizes … and the lucky door prize …

The Launch started at 10 – eight ladies, eight projects, laughter and lunch … all over by 3.30 … I was up for more crafting!!

Phew …  now I just need to start creating projects in preparation for my classes between now and January:

ANOTHER SKETCH CHALLENGE CARD …

It has been raining today … a perfect opportunity to spend some time creating.

As well as working on projects for my catalogue launch event [19th June] I thought that would create another card for the Global Design Project sketch challenge …  #GDP038.

I wanted to play with some new products from the recently released Stampin’ Up! 2016-2017 Annual Catalogue …

I have used all of the new 2016-2018 In Colours …. Dapper Denim – Emerald Envy – Flirty Flamingo – Peekaboo Peach – Sweet Sugarplum … and chose Dapper Denim and Peekaboo Peach as my cardstock elements.

It is not easy to see that the ribbon I have used is ruched … one of the new ribbons now available in the In Colour family.

I have also used two of the latest stamp sets found in the new catalogue … they are both photopolymer stamp sets … I love the way that I can be so accurate in positioning multiple stamps when I use the photopolymers!

The stamp sets used are PERFECTLY WRAPPED and THOUGHTFUL BANNERS.
