LET’S BREW UP SOME FUN

Hello and thank you for popping by today.

It has been such a long time since I have used Very Vanilla cardstock. So I decided to use it for today’s card and the Brew Some Fun Stamp Set.

As soon as I saw the stamp set I knew that I wanted to use the image of 4 teaspoons to create some of my own Designer Series Paper. I stamped the image many times, rotating the image, as I worked my way across the cardstock. Early Espresso was the perfect colour for a coffee card.

After I finished stamping the Very Vanilla layer I wrapped and secured a length of Early Espresso Faux Suede Trim around it. The greeting was stamped in Cajun Craze and cut using one of the Hippo & Friends Dies.

The five take away coffee cups were stamped in Cajun Craze and then used Cajun Craze and Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Markers to colour some of the stripes. The cup was also stamped on the card insert and envelope. The last step was to use the Dark Cajun Craze Stampin’ Blend to colour some Rhinestone Basic Jewels to embellish the card front. I like the way cajun rhinestones pop on the espresso spoons.

I like the simplicity of a card that only uses three colours – Cajun Craze, Early Espresso and Very Vanilla. Imagine what the card would look like with three different colours.

PINWHEEL TOWER GIFT BOX

Hello and welcome to today’s project post. Thanks for popping by.

I decided to make another Pinwheel Tower Gift Box. For this one, I chose the Sweet Stockings Suite to decorate it.

This gift box will be filled with treats for my brother’s two Blue Heeler dogs, Rudy and Bosch (my fur ‘nephews’).

I have lots and lots of photos to show you all aspects of this gift box card. At the core of the card is a 1-1/2″x 4-1/4″ ‘tower’. Then, four 3″x 4-1/4″ panels are adhered to each of the four sides of the ‘tower’. I used four different coordinating colours for the pinwheel to match the Designer Series Paper.

When the card lies flat, you can see three different cardstock colours.

The first panel features the very cute “Santa Paws is coming to town”. This was stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink onto Basic White cardstock and cut with one of the Tailor Made Tags Dies. I tied some Basic Black and Basic White twine, from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack, through the tag opening.

The second panel features Christmas stockings DSP. The larger panel has a gift card holder.

On the narrower side panel I added the stamped, coloured and die/fussy cut stocking and dog. I used a photo of Bosch to try to colour the stamped image to look like him – and, it’s a pretty close resemblance.

The third panel features the Christmas lights design and a pocket for the gift tag. The tag was cut using one of the Tailor Made Tags Dies and was stamped using with to/from from the Banner Year Stamp Set. I threaded a length of Bumblebee 2020 – 2022 In Colour Ribbon. and secured it by tying a bow with Basic White Baker’s Tine.

The narrow panel has a stocking that was cut from the DSP using the Stocking Dies. It also has three stamped, coloured and die cut candy canes.

The final panel has more stockings and some stamped, coloured and die cut Santa hats.

I am so pleased with the way my gift box adaption of the Pinwheel Tower Card has turned out.

Here are the instructions so you can try it yourself.

If you make one of the gift boxes I hope that share it with me.

Until tomorrow, happy stamping.

EARLY BIRTHDAY CARD

Hello and welcome to another project post. Thanks ever so much for popping by.

Today’s card is quite the achievement for me. So often I am late with my sister Karen’s birthday card. Well, it is August 5th and her birthday is September 24th. I am totally organised this year (I just need to remember to post it on time).

I decided to combine the Days to Remember and Party Puffins Stamp Sets. This card needs to be heaps of fun.

It also needs to be a ‘go big, go bold’ type of card. Magenta Madness and Misty Moonlight seemed like perfect colours for Kas’s card.

I chose a Misty Moonlight based design from the Beauty of the Earth 12″x 12″ Designer Series Paper to use as a background to the calendar and partying puffins. Before adhering the DSP layer to the card base, I wrapped and secured two lengths of Magenta Madness 2020 – 2022 In Colour Ribbon.

To stamp the calendar I used my Stamparatus to ensure great alignment. Can you guess the date of her birthday? I used the Magenta Madness Stampin’ Write Marker to colour the circles in the party hat.

The puffins, as you can see, are boldly pink! They were fussy cut and then ‘painted’ with CLear Wink of Stella. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop the calendar and puffins onto the card front.

The birthday cake was stamped and coloured using coordinating Stampin’ Blends. After fussy cutting the cake I used dimensionals to raise it to the same height of the puffins and calendar.

I stamped some candles onto the front of the envelope and ‘happy birthday’ on the card insert. The final step was to add some 2020 – 2022 In Colour Square Gems.

So, what do you think? Do you think she’ll like her card this year?

Until my next post, happy stamping.
