FAREWELL RETIRING IN COLOURS CI#186

I’m joining in this Colour INKspiration challenge a little late but am pleased to be sharing a waterfall card using all the retiring colours.

For this project I chose the Sweet Jar Bundle as the featured products.

I thought a waterfall card would be a great way to show off the retiring colours as well as a new product bundle.

I found a piece of Copper Clay Designer Series Paper, from the Take to the Sky DSP, to use for this project.

The waterfall panels are slightly larger than the ‘usual’ measurements so that the jars would have a reasonable margin around them.

The jars were stamped with the jelly bean and hearts images. I used stamped off Basic Beige to leave the image shapes. Then I coloured these images using the coordinating Stampin’ Blends.

Each of the stamped and coloured Basic White panels were mounted on a slightly larger panel of the retiring cardstock.

The waterfall mechanism was made from Pebbled Path cardstock.

I added a strip of the same DSP on the card insert and the back of the envelope.

Finally, I punched a small hole in the bottom of the mechanism and looped a length of coloured twine through the hole to assist with pulling the waterfall panels through.

Make sure to head over to our Facebook group and see what the crew has created – https://www.facebook.com/groups/349642308720075

I hope that you also create a project for this challenge and share it in the group.

The next Colour INKspiration Challenge will begin on May 14.

Until then, happy stamping and scrapbooking.

BEING INSPIRED BY THE COLOUR InkSPIRATION CHALLENGE

Welcome to COLOUR InkSPIRATION CHALLENGE #184.

Today’s picture which has inspired our colour palette was chosen by Colour INKspiration Crew Member, Alisa Tilsner.

As well as the chosen colour combination for #CI184 Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade, Azure Afternoon. Garden Green and Mossy Meadow, you may also add Basic White, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Basic Beige, Basic Black and metallics to your project. We also allow ‘Ivory’, ‘Bronze’ and ‘Natural Tones’ in the Stampin’ Blends. If you don’t have the colours in our palette, feel free to use the closest Stampin’ Up! (or any other brand) substitute – Boho Blue instead of Balmy Blue for example.

To get your creative ideas flowing, make sure you check out the Crew’s Project in the CI#183 Album – https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=oa.1003303625064294&type=3

Challenge Guidelines:

· Create a NEW project made specifically for this challenge.

· Use all of the challenge colours (or close substitutions) unless stated.

· Upload only ONE picture per entry straight to the discussion wall and NOT in an album.

We hope you can participate this round and look forward to seeing a variety of projects using the challenge colours. Happy stamping!

My youngest daughter recently told me that shw and a friend were teaching themselves to crochet.

For me, that brought back memories of Year 8 Home Economics and learning the same skill. I was totally useless at knitting but crochet was a better option.

I knew that I wanted to use the Cute Crochet 3D Embossing Folder to make a card for her.

I used the CI#184 Colour INKspiration colours for this project – Azure Afternoon, Daffodil Delight, Garden Green, Mossy Meadow and Poppy Parade. I cut each of these colours into 1.5″x 1.5″ squares and adhered them to a piece of Basic White Card.

Then I ran this card throught the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine using the Cute Crochet 3D Embossing Folder.

The greeting was created using the Mini Alphabet Die and Azure Afternoon card with Adhesive Sheet attached.

I used the Basic White Baker’s Twine and a small crochet hook to create a length of chain to tie a bow.

Finally, I added an individual embossed square to the card insert and envelope back.

FRIDAY IS ALL ABOUT FUN FOLDS – SO JOIN ME FOR SOME FUN!

As this post goes live, I will back at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre for Day 2 of OnStage. Around lunchtime, I will be helping out in the Product Playground. I have been delighted to be a volunteer at several OnStage events because it is a wonderful opportunity to contribute to the Stampin’ Up! community.

Today I have a Double Side Step Card to share with you and these are many of the products I have used.

This card style is another great one for showcasing the Designer Series Paper.

The cardbase was cut and scored using a piece of Azure Afternoon cardstock.

Then I cut panels of the DSP to fit within each of the cardbase panels.

The front of the card has been decorated with panels of the DSP while inside the card a Basic White panel was added.

The greeting was stamped and die cut before being added to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Lengths of the Azure Afternoon twine were looped through the hole in the tag and trimmed.

The card insert and back of the envelope were decorated with the Designer Series Paper.

Then arrows and stars, from the Puffy On the Go Stickers pack, were added to the front of the card.

I love the new Strawberry Slusk colour and I can’t wait to see all the new 2025 – 2027 In Colours.

Tomorrow is the final day of OnStage and I amlooking forward to it.

I have no idea yet what I will have for next week BUT pop by because I am confident that you will be inspired.

Until then, happy stamping.
