HIGHLAND HEATHER HYDRANGEA

Hello to each and every happy stamper who pops by to see my latest hydrangea project.

As I was looking through the 6 double-sided designs (there are two of each), I settled on the idea of marrying the three Highland Heather designs.

I cut one in each design, measuring 1-3/4″x 4″ (4.5cm x 10.2cm). Then I adhered them to a Basic White panel, measuring 4″x 5-5/8″ (10.2cm x 14.3cm), as shown. I also attached a length of Gorgeous Grape Sheer Ribbon.

I stamped the flower twice – once colouring just the leaves and stems in Old Olive and a second time in Highland Heather.

Using the HYDRANGEA DIES, I cut out the flower that I placed Stampin’ Dimensionals under to lift the flower on the card front. I also used another of the dies to cut out lots of the individual petals in White Vellum.

I’m so pleased with the way the head of the hydrangea looks with the added vellum petals.

After stamping the sentiment, I used the new TREASURED TAGS PICK A PUNCH to shape the end of the card stock.

Last, but not least, some PASTEL PEARLS scattered across the front.

And, I’m off to make another card.

Happy stamping.

WATER COLOURED CACTUS

Hello to my creative friends – thanks for popping by again. I truly appreciate your support.

I have a friend who really likes succulents and has them in her garden and in lovely wide, shallow pots.

This is a card I made on a recent Facebook Live. I wanted to do some messy water colouring and overlay the die cut frame over the top.

I used the widest of the set of three WATER PAINTERS to swirl splotches of colour onto some FLUID 100 WATERCOLOUR PAPER. Once it was dry, I adhered the overlay piece of Basic Gray card stock that was cut using one of the POTTED SUCCULENTS DIES.

The birthday greeting is from the FLOWERING CACTUS STAMP SET and it was cut with one of the other POTTED SUCCULENTS DIES. These two product bundles (medley) work very well together.

The other twine found in the product medley is Calypso Coral. I teamed it with the Basic Gray Twine from the WELL SUITED TWINE COMBO PACK.

Another feature of the product medley is the packet of felt floral shapes in both Calypso Coral and Highland Heather.

It’s been fun using these new products and each time I finish one, I’m ready to move onto another.

Happy stamping.

MERCURY GLASS DESIGNER ACETATE

Helloto each of you who have found your way to my post today – thank you for popping by.

Today’s project uses the very glimmery mercury glass designer acetate.

HYDRANGEA HILL MERCURY GLASS DESIGNER ACETATE
Isn’t it shiny!

The colours are Highland Heather and Rococo Rose.

I used the HYDRANGEA DIES to cut three of the flowers to overaly onto the front of the card. to achieve the mirror imaged flowers I cut one on each side of the acetate. Then I ran my bone folder along the edge to flatten the lip that occurs when it is cut. The silver is the colour on the reverse side of the acetate.

I enjoy using pieces of DSP, in different sizes, to show how well they coordinate. This card has a 1″x 4″ strip of the paper that I used on the gift box from Monday’s post. As yuo can see, I tied a bow and then wrapped the ribbon around this piece.

The background piece of DSP is Seaside Spray, so I decided to use this colour to stamp the sentiment. I love the thought of giving this card to someone who I believe is ‘capable of amazing things’. The die to cut the sentiment is a wonderful new addition to use.

I’m going to miss the 2019-2021 IN COLOURS when they retire later in the year, when we receive the 2021-2022 ANNUAL CATALOGUE.

Which one is your favourite?

2019–2021 IN COLOR CLASSIC STAMPIN’ PADS

So with only five and a half months until then, I need to make sure that I make lots more projects to use up all my card stock.

I wonder what the 2021-2023 IN COLOURS will be?

Thanks for popping by.
