SUNSHINE ON A RAINY DAY

We have had quite a lot of rain over the last week … so it’s always good to see the sun.

The UNDER MY UMBRELLA BUNDLE and the recently released PLEASED AS PUNCH DSP give a cheery outlook for dreary ‘weather’.

I loved the idea of having one of meerkats, from THE GANGS ALL HERE Sale-a-bration stamp set, pop up from inside one of the gumboots [wellingtons] … and his friends were there to help him in the rain.

Hope you like it …

To earn the meerkat stamp set, you need to spend $90 on any Stampin’ Up! products [before postage and handling].

There are lots of product combinations to reach the qualifying total – here’s one example:

$90 = UNDER MY UMBRELLA BUNDLE [153786 – $53] + PLEASED AS PUNCH DSP [153558 – $20] + PAPER SNIPS [103579 – $17]

Just a reminder – if you live in Australia and want me to send you any of the current Stampin’ Up! catalogues, contact me.

Thanks for dropping by … happy stamping!

PARIS … DAY 2

Well, it’s not really our second day in Paris. I’m still in Brisbane … but we are starting to plan an overseas trip for later in the year.

DAY 2 in PARIS means another card project to share with you.

This one uses the floral images and language of love … as well as the totally gorgeous PARISIAN FLOURISH 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER.

Embossing folders and vellum should never be underestimated – the end result is just perfect for any project!

I am so pleased that we now have the SADDLE BROWN STAZON INK … perfect for more subtle water colouring than the Stazon Black.

I also used two new banner dies from the COUNTY CLUB SUITE’s Golf Club Dies … very versatile coordination.

I hope this reminds you to drag out your embossing folders and add texture to your projects.

Thanks for dropping … happy stamping.

2019 … AN EXCITING NEW YEAR

Well, after 35 years, I have finished teaching and we have just put our home on the market. Rob and I will be moving from Bargara to Kangaroo Point in Brisbane.

After a challenging 2018, exciting trip to On Stage in Orlando and getting the house ready to sell, I now have time to get back into my wonderful world of creating with Stampin’ Up! ® .

Now I can focus fully on mmm…Stampin’ Time – classes, workshops, videos, projects by post and lots of other adventures that I have planning to do.

I hope to stay connected with all the lovely ladies in Bundaberg who have come along to classes over the past five years, as well as meet new stampers when I move to Brisbane.

FIRST CARD FOR 2019

I saw a video by Jennifer McGuire where she used stamped and die cut images to creat a floating frame card. I used the new Forever Lovely stamp set and fussy cut it for this card.

The trick is to use Glas Press’n Seal wrap, which you can’t find on any supermarket shelves in Australia [that I know of] but you can order it here from USAFoods – this is where I also source my rolls of waxed paper.

I hope that everyone has an amazing and creative 2019,

Michele
