mmm...Stampin' Time

It is such a long time since I have made a Z fold card.

When I chose to use the BY THE DOCK BUNDLE, I knew that I wanted have panels and some pop out elements.

I think this card will be version one because I can think of some changes that I want to make.

That’s one of the things I enjoy with card making. You can explore a design idea and if you’re not 100% happy, you use it as a way to refine and develop your skills.

This card essentially uses only three colours: Crumb Cake, Pear Pizzazz and Seaside Spray. These colours are reflected in the TROPICAL OASIS DSP.

I have been using the BRAIDED BURLAP TRIM so much recently – I love its texture and colour.

The ‘water’ has been dry embossed to create a wavy effect.

I don’t make many masculine cards, except for family members, so this bundle ‘forced’ me to go beyond what I tend to make. I think I’ll give this card to my brother for his father-in-law’s birthday.

After yesterday’s RISE & SHINE coffee break project, I thought the idea of more relaxation is always a good idea.

Inspired by projects by Athena Sanderson and Jessica Bugden, I wanted to make a hawaiian shirt card using the TROPICAL OASIS SUITE.

The shirt is half the size of the original inspiration, using a piece of DSP cut to 3″x5″.

The COASTAL WEAVE 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER has to be my favourite. I love the texture it gives.

Add some braided burlap; die cut, coloured flowers and coloured embellishments to give a card that final touch.
