NOTES OF KINDNESS

I took out one of my Stampin’ Up! ® Kits yesterday to make some cards.

The great thing about one of these All-Inclusive Kits is that it supplies everything needed to make, in this case, 20 cards (5 each of 4 designs).

Aussie Stampers : NEW Notes of Kindness Card Kit. Stampin' Up!

So, I made one each of each design. I felt like a beginner stamper again – ink, stamps and paper and designs that were easy to follow.

It reminded me of how my paper crafting experiences have introduced me to new techniques and ideas – and how my crafting supplies have grown.

As a paper-crafter, I have evolved. From easier projects with step by step instructions, I began to change up designs and add my own touches. Because I had a wider range of skills, tools and supplies; I was crafting more often and my projects became a bit more involved. I was no longer a beginning (occasional) stamper but became a casual (more often, with more supplies).

Over time, and with more experience, most of the projects I create are now more complex – I am now an avid paper-crafter.

After making the first set of four cards, I decided it was time to step it up … and then step it up again …beginner, casual and avid projects.

Let me know what you think of these projects.

Thanks from popping by … happy stamping.

EASTER TREAT BOX

The ORNATE BORDERS DIES are just beautiful. I love the intricate floral and lacy edges many of them have.

I wanted to make a gift box, filled with chocolates, using one of the dies for the base and lid.

This is the end result:

I used the gorgeous mint macaron and gold foil piece of Specialty Designer Series Paper and Gold Foil to create the sides of the box.

The sentiment, from the EASTER PROMISE STAMP SET, was stamped in Mint Macaron on the same coloured card stock and then re-stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with clear embossing powder – thanks to the precision of the Stamparatus!

I die cut all three flowers, three times, from the same paper used for the outside of the box. The flowers each have a GILDED GEM.

The Classic Label Punch pieces made a quick and easy hinge.

The end result – a gilded box of Easter goodness.

Thanks for popping by … happy stamping.

THANKS

There are so many essential people in our communities who continue to work, while the rest of us self-isolate or are quarantined.

I decided to make this card to leave for our ‘postie’ today. [If you don’t live in Australia, we call our mail/postal delivery men and women – posties – because we love to shorten names].

I appreciate that she continues to deliver our letters everyday so I wanted to THANK her.

I hope she likes it!

It also meant that I could continue using the new ORNATE GARDEN SUITE.

I decided to use my sponge daubers to soften the Whisper White card stock which looked a bit stark when the card was finished. There are never mistakes in card making just creative solutions.

Thanks for popping by … happy stamping.
