PLAYING WITH PATTERNS

It has been quite a while since I used the PLAYING WITH PATTERNS SUITE.

For this card, I wanted to use some of the PLAYING WITH PATTERNS 6″x 6″DSP and stamp my own ‘DSP’ to incorporate into the card.

I used a piece of PURPLE POSY A4 CARDSTOCK for the card base.

Three pieces of DSP, measuring 5″x 1″, were cut and then adhered to the front of the card base. The direction of the design was alternated.

On a piece of Whisper White cardstock, I stamped my own print using Calypso Coral, Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry and Night of Navy. I also used four of the stamps from the set.

When done, I cut the background piece into strips measuring 5.75″x 1″. These were popped with Stampin’ Dimensionals and alternated as well.

The sentiment was stamped and cut into a thin panel before using a FOAM ADHESIVE STRIP to place it between the bottom two horizontal panels.

Rather than using the PLAYING WITH PATTERNS RESIN DOTS, I chose some HOLIDAY RHINESTONE BASIC JEWELS to add a little sparkle.

I definitely had FUN playing with these patterns!

Hmmm … what do you think?

Thanks for popping by … happy stamping.

CAN’T RESIST – A WATERCOLOUR RESIST

For the second card I made yesterday, I used the single poppy stem. I stamped it five times using Versamark and Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder, onto a piece of Watercolour Paper, before heat setting the powder.

Then I spritzed the Watercolour Paper and used the new WATER PAINTERS to apply Blackberry Bliss and Garden Green ink to the paper.

I used some paper towel to soak up excess paint before adding additional ink. When dry, Clear Wink of Stella was the final addition.

As you can see, I cut the paper into three sections and adhered it to the card front. The greeting was then stamped onto another strip of water colour paper.

To finish the card, the same single poppy stem was stamped onto the card insert and onto the envelope.

I hope that you like it.

Thanks for popping by … happy stamping.

REMEMBRANCE DAY

I decided over the weekend to plan projects, for my Facebook Live today, using the PAINTED POPPIES and PEACEFUL MOMENTS BUNDLES – because today is Remembrance Day.

Yesterday, I shared a thank you card that I prepared ahead of my Live.

Today, I want to share a decor item that I am so very happy with.

Rob and I have been very fortunate in our travels to visit many sites, in Europe, associated with our very brave ANZACs. So, for me, remembrance is an important part of being Australian.

I made lots of poppies and used 12 of them for this project. I adhered the leaves under the poppies and speckled some RED RHINESTONE BASIC JEWELS on the background.

The shadow frame is from Ikea – I used the last one I had in my stash, so I will need to buy some more soon. These frames are perfect to showcase all sorts of paper crafted projects.

The REMEMBER banner was made suing the PLAYFUL ALPHABET DIES and the BANNER PICK A PUNCH.

As I mentioned before – I am very pleased with how this project turned out.

What do you think?

Thanks for popping by … happy stamping.
