HELLO, HANDSOME

As many of you may be aware, I have been working through my stamp sets and discovering those that have been under-loved or, even worse, unused sets.

And, sadly, the PALLET THOUGHTS STAMP SET came declared itself as unused.

It is a really wonderful collection of greetings and images, perfectly suited for masculine cards.

Stampin' Up! - PALLET THOUGHTS CLING STAMP SET

I decided to combine this stamp set with the IN GOOD TASTE DSP – a great match. Then, of course, add in the PINEWOOD PLANKS 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER and there is a rustic, wooden card base.

The card base is Gray Granite, with a layer of DSP over the top. Then I embossed a piece of Whisper White card stock.

After I stamped the woodgrain image, I stamped HELLO, HANDSOME in Early Espresso. I also stamped the screws image around each corner.

Then I popped the greeting panel up onto the white embossed piece. There was enough room for me to wrap a little GRAY GRANITE SHIMMER RIBBON on each side – a little glimmer without taking away from the masculine theme.

As you can see, I repeated the stamping of the screws around the top of the card, onto the DSP – and onto the card insert and envelope.

This would make a great card for birthday – or anniversary – or just because, for that handsome man in your life.

I know who I will give it to. Who would you send this card to?

Thanks for popping by … happy stamping.

NO SNOW HERE!

While it is still Spring in Australia, it is feeling more and more like Summer every day.

So it was refreshing to make a card for the holiday season using some of the FEELS LIKE FROST DSP. At least I can look at the paper and think cool thoughts.

We did enjoy some snow and cold weather last year when we were in Moscow, St Petersburg and Helsinki. I wish I had gum boots (or wellingtons) to traipse around in the snow and sludge.

The boots and umbrella, from the UNDER MY UMBRELLA STAMP SET, were fussy cut. Who wouldn’t love a shiny pair of polka dot silver boots and matching umbrella.

The photographic image, on this DSP, beautifully captures this wintery scene. I particularly like the bokeh light effects.

I used the DSP offcuts to trim the envelope and card insert.

A little SILVER METALLIC EDGE RIBBON wrapped around the DSP and a stamped and die cut greeting popped up over the ribbon finishes this quick and easy card.

Who would you send it to?

MINI ALBUM

I have had a pack or two of the FLOWERS FOR EVERY SEASON MEMORIES & MORE CARD PACK and the coordinating CARDS & ENVELOPES sitting in my cupboard unused until now.

For this project I used half of the envelopes and Memories and More pack to make a mini album.

I trimmed the envelopes down to 6.25″ x 4″ and kept the flap in tact. On my Facebook Live, yesterday, I shared how I made this album.

If you click on the image below, you can watch the Facebook Live I did on Wednesday showing you how to make it.

The album cover was created using two 6.25″ x 4.25″ pieces of Magenta Madness card stock. These were then covered with some of the FLOWERS FOR EVERY SEASON 6″x 6″ DSP cut to 6″x 4″. A strip of the DSP was also used to create a spine covering, although it was cut in half to allow it ‘stretch’ to the top and bottom of the album. The gap was easily filled with a length of IN COLOUR RIBBON.

When opened, the album reveals the five In Colours.

Each section opens out allowing space for photos to be added and journaling completed.

Each section has a pocket with a piece of Whisper White card stock slipped inside.

I am very pleased with the end result.

Check out my video to see how to make your own.
