MERCURY GLASS DESIGNER ACETATE

Helloto each of you who have found your way to my post today – thank you for popping by.

Today’s project uses the very glimmery mercury glass designer acetate.

HYDRANGEA HILL MERCURY GLASS DESIGNER ACETATE
Isn’t it shiny!

The colours are Highland Heather and Rococo Rose.

I used the HYDRANGEA DIES to cut three of the flowers to overaly onto the front of the card. to achieve the mirror imaged flowers I cut one on each side of the acetate. Then I ran my bone folder along the edge to flatten the lip that occurs when it is cut. The silver is the colour on the reverse side of the acetate.

I enjoy using pieces of DSP, in different sizes, to show how well they coordinate. This card has a 1″x 4″ strip of the paper that I used on the gift box from Monday’s post. As yuo can see, I tied a bow and then wrapped the ribbon around this piece.

The background piece of DSP is Seaside Spray, so I decided to use this colour to stamp the sentiment. I love the thought of giving this card to someone who I believe is ‘capable of amazing things’. The die to cut the sentiment is a wonderful new addition to use.

I’m going to miss the 2019-2021 IN COLOURS when they retire later in the year, when we receive the 2021-2022 ANNUAL CATALOGUE.

Which one is your favourite?

2019–2021 IN COLOR CLASSIC STAMPIN’ PADS

So with only five and a half months until then, I need to make sure that I make lots more projects to use up all my card stock.

I wonder what the 2021-2023 IN COLOURS will be?

Thanks for popping by.

DESERT LIME

Hello and thank you for popping by.

When you start creating with new products do you just keep making different projects?

That’s what I found I was doing with the SIMPLY SUCCULENTS BUNDLE and the FLOWERING CACTUS PRODUCT MEDLEY. In a day, I made seven cards and a gift box. I’ll post them on alternate days to make sure that I don’t bore you.

I found a bar of coconut and desert lime soap when I was shopping the other day. The desert lime was close enough for me to make a cactus/desert inspired gift box.

The design of this gift box is very similar to the card I shared on the 24th.

I used the same DSP and colours and colouring techniques.

I used a small LAYERING CIRCLES DIE to cut a semicircle to make it easier to lift the lid.

I added five of the Cinnamon Cider 2020-2022 IN COLOUR ENAMEL DOTS to the front of the box.

The natural twine in the product medley was used to tie this triple bow.

This will make a lovely little gift to have on hand for that moment when I want to thank someone for an act of kindness.

Happy stamping.

A GORGEOUS GIFT BOX

Hello! Welcome to a new post, using another new product suite.

I have already made some projects using the HYDRANGEA HILL SUITE but it is time to make some more.

This project starts with one of the LOVE YOU ALWAYS TREAT BOXES from the LOVE YOU ALWAYS SUITE.

I chose this piece of paper, from the HYDRANGEA HILL DESIGNER SERIES PAPER pack, to wrap around the gift box.

I made a 1-1/2″/4cm belly band, in Rococo Rose.

The sweet sentiment is from the HYDRANGEA HAVEN STAMP SETand it is stamped in the same colour as the belly band. The new PASTEL PEARLS are stunning. They come in four colours – Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, Rococo Rose and Seaside Spray.

To finish off the card, I fussy cut one of the floral bouquets from another sheet pf DSP and adhered it to the belly band.

These gift boxes are fantastic. I can definitely see myself making many more for those special occasions.

I found a supplier of hydrangea seeds in Australia. I think that I will order some and pop them in this gift box to give to someone who loves gardening.

What would you put into this gift box?

Thanks for popping by.
